Ah stone smealted pre update is different than stone smealted post update

Ya, two types of stone since the update. Stone smealted from cobblestone and that mine with a silktouch. They wont stack together. Silktouched will smealt

It seems there are at least 2 types of stone now. Stone smealted from cobblestone and stone mined with a silktouch pickaxe. The two will not stack together and only stone from silktouch will smealt into smooth stone

Our realm too. Not eating not moving standing center portal. Going to nether and arrive at same coordinates of the overwold portal that i left from with no potal in site. Going back to overworld i randomly suffocate while the loading screen stays on untill i die. Realm mate tells me i died in a wall.

I have this problem too. Going into the nether and it sent me to the coordinats i left the overworld from. It was the first portal use after the update to 1.13. Has not happened since. I am at random times dieing coming back from nether. I can hear myself suffocating wile on the loading screen. My realm mate tells me it said i died in a wall but nothing generates for me. ive seen this bug on another report as well.

i have posted on others and now i am directed here.
realms, two players experiencing problem. sorry no pics or vids.
the entities (sheep, cows, villagers, etc) disappear on us when loading back into the world from a logout. not a crash - a regular, end of day, logout. i have set myself looking at my farms and a healthy farmer when i logged out and when i logged in the next day that farmer was missing. it doesn't happen every time. with 3 farmers running i would lose one of them every other day on average.

with my own testing i find it is entities that are allowed to roam in larger pens that disappear such as cows or sheep in a 5x5 pen or other similar size and also farmers ranging in farms of 9x9 or 9x18 pens. i never lose entities penned up in a 1x1 cell. i have 30+ villagers penned up in 1x1's and have not lost one to this bug (lightning being the only issue of villager loss in a 1x1 pen.)

so now i have to lure my farmers into a 1x1 pen before every logout or i risk losing them. if i do not pen them up my farmers will not last a week playing once or twice a day. while this solution is working for me it is an inconvenient waste of my game time and it is not the permanent fix i'd like to see.

i can't confirm whether or not it happens when going to the nether or the end and coming back. i'll have to start paying more attention to this part.

and check them after a lightning storm. lightning turns villagers into witches and witches despawn. this has been happening to us even with underground villagers - another bug for another day.

lock them in 1x1 cells. i have not lost a single locked up villager since i started on this realms server several months ago. i guessed 20 above but then i counted 32 locked up of every denomination (mostly librarians).
if you already have them locked up and you are still losing them then i don't know what to tell you. move the cells a few blocks over if possible - is there a pattern which jail cells you are losing them out of, don't use those, sorry not sure.

true, my temporary solution is for farmers only since they are the only ones to go for crops.
it is still working by the way. i have not lost a farmer locked in a 1x1 cell since i started doing this, around a week or so. i would have lost one or two by now usually.

ideas you can try for a breeding pen could be adapted from this though.
-you could make a series of one by one pens separated by iron doors or gates. with all the gates open it would allow mating mingling and food sharing. close the gates before logging out and lock them in cells wherever they stand. let them out on login.
you would probably have to feed them manually instead of letting them farm their own food because of space restrictions. i find giving them a stack of carrots usually pops out 2 to 4 babies with a breed stock of 5-6 adults (my own current system).
personally, i guess since i have nothing invested in new villagers out of a breeding pen i haven't put much thought into how to make sure everyone lives through to tomorrow, just so long as some villagers are still there to breed which hasn't been a problem for me. i also have a zombie spawner close by underground i have set up to separate zombie-villagers and i get most of my specific needs farmers from there anyway - like the wheat farmer that is critical to have only seeds in his inventory which takes a lot of work to get one and set him up - which is why i put thought into how to save him and not breeders.

so the 1x1 cell idea above seems to be working. i describe what i did here, https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-26338
MCPE-26338

I've been commenting in MCPE-29490. Just found this one. Same issues. I'm pretty positive it is happening durring logouts. It happens often enough that i had started logging out while watching my farms. When i log back in the browncoat is gone.
I believe i have a temporary solution for you all though.
I've noticed i never lose villagers locked in a 1x1 cell. So i made a 1x1 cell just outside the farm wall and put the farmer in it before every logout. plant the same crop in the cell. An iron door separating the farm and the cell with a switch. Open the door and when the farmer goes for the crop close the door and lock him in for your logout. Let them out on login. Its a pain and alot of work every logout but its less work than setting a new farmer every couple days.
I've only been doing this a couple days but initial results are positive, haven't lost a farmer in a locked in a cell yet.

the hopper mine cart under the wheat farm disappears in the same fashion on logouts. its like a villager, it could last a day or 7 days. the circumstances are similar making me think they are related - which is why I mentioned it now and above

so more description. if you want logs or pics i'll have to figure out how to get them on here from an xbox. i'm doing this from my PC.

two players on the world each having their own complexes - village, farms, house blah blah blah. each having same problem.
the village model we both use is similar. we each have an iron golem farm with a 18x18 pad of flowing water pushing golems to the center built at/ near ground level. under that we keep all the villagers - so all underground housing but as close as possible to the surface. here we each keep many jailed up villagers for trading in 1x1 cells, i probably have around 20 of these myself. then we have our farms/farming villagers and our hungry villagers that get food thrown at them. lots of villagers, yes, but as of yesterday the breeding villagers can still have babies when i give them food so i am not over the population breeding limit by importing villagers from elsewhere. losing the jailed up villagers to lightning is still a problem even though they are all underground, the witches we have found in the jail cells, this is not the issue we are trying to get fixed. we are losing loose roaming farmers locked in 9x9 or 9x18 auto-farms and it happens when we logout - 99% sure.

yes. this is a game mechanic with all repairable items.
solution - put mending on your items. combine it with unbreaking and viola... less repairing.

i do not think this is our issue. we are playing on realms (or bedrock i believe) on the xbox. there are two of us playing on this world both having the same problem. there are no crashes that we know of at the times we lose villagers. we are losing automatic farming villagers after we log out. they are just gone (like a fart in the wind) after we log back in. i have lost 3 villagers in the last 2 logouts. i have 3 farms, wheat, carrots, potatoes, and a limited space where farming even works. if you are saying we can't build a farm on a chunk border this would severely limit the space available to build an automatic farm, not to mention i have never heard of this possibility and i have watched a lot of you-tube videos and never heard of this issue with borders.
we both lose our farming villagers when we log out. not every time but enough to be very annoying. my losing 3 farmers in two logouts is an extreme. most farmers usually last 3 or 4 days. if i get a week out a farmer i am happy these days and that is an unfortunate situation.
we have tried naming our villagers, no joy. we have tried quitting minecraft from the home screen after we log out thinking something may still be running, no joy. we know it is not loss due to lightning hitting villagers underground and turning them into witches - a whole other issue that is making us mad.
i have noticed that i never lose a villager inside a 1 by 1 cell and i have a lot of trading villagers penned up. so, our next idea for a fix is to lure our farmers into a 1 by 1 cell before every logout. we would lure the farmer with a ripe crop and lock him in quickly when he went for it. not an ideal solution, and hopefully not a long term one either...hint, hint, hint.

this is still happening for me as well. today the 1.2.11 update dropped and i see nothing in the bug fix description mentioning a fix.
the villagers seem to disappear most after i have shut down the world and come back to play the next day. the hopper minecart under the farm is gone at the same time too. i'm not sure loading and unloading chunks affects it while i am playing as i have not noticed losing a farmer during play. i have come to be in the habit of checking on my farmers as they are disappearing so much and these are the timelines i have noticed.

its ok now. i duplicated the world and now the copy of it works fine. i guess the file was corrupted or something..
