This really sucks, enchantments are a brilliant gameplay idea to speed up and enhance time-consuming gameplay bits - I'm stuck with slow digging, no Fortune to multiply ore extraction, can only get Silk Touch on iron picks. Really holding back my exploration of the Nether at higher difficulty levels.
@HyperCamel, any chance of getting a fixversion on this?
Should this be a REALMS issue?
This is happening in Realms, iOS9, 0.15.0, iPad - I am the host, the enchantments do not randomise.
Also, if I enchant things, using up experience, if I leave the Realm and log back in, my experience has magically returned
I haven't seen this since 0.14, has anyone else?
Verified on Ipad Air, iOS9
There were some bugs that are marked fixed on Samsung but which are still in the iOS9 code
This is not a duplicate of MCP-12803
It is a duplicate of MCPE-13400 which still exists on iPad, iOS9
branch was not merged on all platforms
This can be closed, I didn't know about the Auto-Jump switch.
ah, thanks, this was my issue too, I'll close my swimming issue
You've really made the inventory harder to use on a tablet.
Can you have a UI designer take a look?
Consistency makes sense, but it looks clunky.
Why is PC style text appropriate for a tablet?
Can we at least position the icons and text like in the toolbar?
Also, inventory now scrolls in landscape mode, that's a huge pain
Look at the gutters inside the inventory box, strange margins.
Item boxes are bigger.
The large texts obscures many objects, and is disproportionate to tablet text.
Maybe they're using the same code as mobile which needed larger numbers, but really looks clunky on iPad.
It does look like an error. Can you revert this change please?
this can be closed as a dupe
iOS9, iPad Air 2, still happening with those poor litlte sheep.
Still affects 0.12.1
I've figured out what this is:
Old behaviour:
I stand on a block, and with a placeable block in my hand, I tap just ahead of the block. The block I'm standing on highlights, and depending on which side I tapped, the block in my hand is placed immediately adjacent to the block I'm standing on, at the same level.
This is how I would build things up high.
So what has changed is the distance at which the nearness of another block interferees with my ability to place a block adjacent to the one I am standing on.
If I am high in the air, then this still works as in pre 11.x
However, now, if another block is within 10 blocks or so, it interferes with the ability of my block to "highlight" and accept an adjacent block. This distance used to be much less, and sometimes I would place blocks incorrectly because of the nearness, but usually not.
More often than not it is broken
Unfortunately Mojang/Microsoft are unlikely to see much revenue impact from this bug (but bless you Dean for having principles) and since they perceive there to be a hack/workaround for this (see mod comments above) we're just going to have to wait until the competing bugs/features get done and this bubbles high enough on the backlog to get some attention.
Luckily, No Man's Sky has come out, and is scratching my sandbox game itch at the moment, although I wish you could build instead of just mine and explore.
