I should have given you some more specifics. I'm clearing a guardian temple. every time i place a block of sand, i go from 30-40 fps to 4 or 5. in 1.14 and previous 1.15 snapshots, I've been able to maintain 25-30.
or maybe, customer service actually answers questions perhaps?
this was not a modded version. it was created in one snapshot, then opened in a newer version
seems to be fixed now
i did look into this a little further. it seems with the 1.14 updates they now only hold 4 of the same item, but still have 8 slots. i dropped 8 stacks of wheat seeds and only 4 got absorbed into his inventory. then i dropped 4 stacks of beetroot seeds and the villager took them in as well. i believe you can close this now
every single version i've played since 1.8. all my farms have had a villager farming wheat for example, where the farmer takes 8 stacks in his inventory, then tries to farm wheat and can't pick it up. this concept is all over the mc world and yt, and can be backed up by possibly thousands of yt videos.
i no longer have a screenshot available as the farm has been built. let me try redescribing it.
imagine a long line of rails, with a villager in a minecart traveling on the rails. he comes to the end of the line where the minecart will drop down on the y axis a few blocks to land on farmland while still in the minecart. Below the farmland, one block, is a series of rails and hopper minecarts designed to pick up farm drops that the villager will be making.
As he hits the farmland while still in the minecart, the minecart and the villager fall thru the farmland and land on the rails one block lower, and travel up and down the rails. the minecart isn't stopped by the farmland while the villager is still in it.
does that help?
i attached all the logs for the last 36 hours. some were from the single player world, some from servers that have nothing to do with this.
No i do not have a backup
ever since 1.13.2 came out this has been a problem reported by numerous people. i've not had chunk borders since then. I have tried the expanded or reduced debug info, and neither one will display F3+g. Clearly it's not a keyboard issue given the extreme amount of reports here, and all over the web. I don't even get the chunk borders shown comment. No matter what sequence of keys I press, FN or no FN button, G first or G last, I haven't seen chunk borders in some time without changing my computer. I'd be happy to help test this once a solution is found. I have the bug in 19w39a
so far it's only when the ig is walking east. he hangs for about 20 seconds before falling.
just checked again now 7 have lost their professions
so i let you know on mc-161937 why they weren't taking on professions. After i killed every villager with the /kill command, i spawned in 12 new villagers. all 12 initially took a profession, but eventually i have had 3 more since lose their profession with no interference on my part or any mob.
I believe i may have figured this one out. there appears to have been a few villagers around 100 blocks away that may have locked onto a couple of the workstations.
other villagers in teh same area have voluntarily given up their work stations. i have 12, and 4 more dropped their profession without being interacted with or hit, damaged or harmed in any way
now they took a workstation after 12000. My thought was this was impossible, that they are supposed to sleep and not look at work issues.
so i just set the time to 1, and will run through the day again till 12000. i have 3 villagers, each directly next to a loom, a composter and a smithing table. none of them at the start of the day had taken a profession. one of them has taken the toolsmith position right away, the other two at 2000 still have not taken one of the other 2 professions. they just waive their head back and forth.
as of 4000, nothing yet on the other two
thru 6500 nothing yet
8200, still haven't taken a job
thru 10000 still nothing
and thru 12000 they didn't take a job
I've run them thru many days and even if they do take a profession from the workstation directly at their knees, they lose them, every time. the game has been thru roughly 10 mc days with no success in them either taking or keeping a station
no the link you listed does not describe my issue. i explained my issue very clearly. during a raid there is now a cooldown on using bows.
Can confirm this still exists in 1.18.1. over 1000 villagers spawned and no nitwits. please advise on fix.
