Ender pearl thrown down while crouching teleports the player upward a bit

The bug

Ender pearl down teleports up.

How to reproduce

  1. Stand in front of a two high wall or tower

  2. Start sneaking

  3. Throw an ender pearl at the lowest block of the wall while walking forward
    → It teleports you on top of the wall, although you were aiming downwards. Even if you hit yourself, it couldn't teleport you higher than the eye height.

No, the bug happens even if you aren't crouched which is why it also affects End Crystal PvP especially with slow falling. You just need to throw the ender pearl on the ground.
