When I placed down a piston and it was powered by a Redstone torch,I expected that when I destroyed it that it would disappear as I was in creative mode however the item was dropped as if I was in survival mode.
To repeat this glitche place a piston down in creative mode,power the piston using any kind of Redstone such as a torch or a switch, while still in creative mode destroy the extended arm of the piston and you will see that the piston item will drop

Bug has made a return in 14w33c but only using setblock or fill. Also appears in any gamemode.
I'm not sure if this should be reopened or just start with MC-67641 clarifying setblock as the culprit.
I'm not sure if this is reported for PC or mcpe 0.15.0, and I don't want to repost the same bug, but it happens the same in 0.15.0 update.

I don't know if there is such system, but I think minecraft must have a better block destroy recursion :
for now it seem that your piston is like broken by natural reasons since you broke it in creative.
so I think the extended part of the piston must destroy the base by giving the "reason" when it is broken.
