If the "universalAnger" is set to true, certain neutral mobs don't fight back when you attack them

The bug

If "universalAnger" the gamerule is set to true, this bug will happen, and when you punch a neutral mob (the difficulty is "hard"), it won't fight you back, just like a passive mob.

How to reproduce

  1. Set the "universalAnger" to true.

    /gamerule universalAnger true
  2. Set your gamemode to survival or adventure.

  3. Summon a spider.

    /summon spider ~ ~ ~
  4. Punch the spider during daytime.
→ ❌ The spider won't attack you back.

Hi BLack_Tea_RGO,

@Greymagic27 I'm sorry about that, I won't do it again

I've found that this universalAnger issue also applies to Spiders (And Cave Spiders). The bug happens the same way - punch a Spider in daylight (i.e. when it's neutral) and it won't fight back.

I wasn't able to reproduce this with endermen, but I was able to reproduce this with spiders.

Also affects 1.20.5 pre-release 3.
