Hindi font has the letters and vowel separated

Confirmed (see screenshot). Letters appear to be spaced improperly.

Hmm... [Grum fixed this for Arabic|MC-784], and did something for bi-directional languages in general, but Hindi may require some more tweaking.

Still in 1.7.4 and 1.8 snapshots

Same issue with that kind of character: Ɔ̈. (You just have to type this letter in the chat.)

Can this still be reproduced in 20w30a or later?

Running the latest snapshot (snapshot 1.16.3) shows that this is still an issue.

Enabling the force Unicode setting does not change the text rendering.

Can confirm in 1.17.1.
