Silent tag is not working for some entities

This really should be fixed. I'm using ghast fireballs with ExplosionPower:0 as a base for making player directed magic since it can be summoned and hit around. However, it still sounds like an explosion when it hits something. It's really annoying that adding Silent:1 won't silence the blast. (It's not really fitting for water magic to sound like explosions, now is it?)

Confirmed for Wither's shooting in snapshot 16w32a. So we now have custom boss bars using custom Wither names, but NoAI Withers don't update their boss bar health (consider WAI) and Withers with AI can't be made silent due to this bug. In short: we can't have silent and functional boss bars even though we can have ones with custom names...kind of makes them useless until this bug is fixed.

@unknown, I misunderstood what you were saying, I forgot that wither bosses were affected as well.

I'm not sure if this is a bug included in this issue or not, but anyways, I wanted to summon a zombie with the tag {Silent:1} and I could easily summon it in. But then I decided it would be easier to just spawn the zombie in with a spawn egg. So I used the command "/give @p minecraft:spawn_egg 1 0 {EntityTag:{id:minecraft:zombie,Silent:1}}". This worked fine and gave me the spawn_egg, but when I spawned in the zombie it groaned only once but afterwards (when I punched the zombie) it was completely silent. So, basically, the zombie was only silent a moment after it was spawned in. I am not sure if this a bug or if it is intended, or even if it would go under this issue, but it didn't seem intended so if anyone else can confirm this please do and comment back. Thank you.

Confirmed for 17w17b, also affects the following mobs:

• Witches transformed from villagers by lightning

• Enderman teleporting (but not shulker)

• Shulker bullets summoned by shulker

• Evoker's vexes (intentional?) and fangs

• Illusioner teleporting/creating duplicates

• Smaller slimes and magma cubes that spawn when a larger one dies (intentional?)

• Parrots on player's shoulders (MC-115774)

Confirmed for 1.12.

Also doesn't seem to prevent the "pop" sound a firework makes when set off, but does prevent the sound of the rocket being fired. If someone who is able to could confirm and add this to the list that would be helpful.

I can confirm this is still an issue in 18w02a, at least for Minecarts.

Can confirm Aaron's comment on fireworks, could you please add it to the list? I searched for "silent firework" and the search did not catch this issue, I'm guessing it doesn't search comments?

The Silent tag on fireworks is respected server-side, where the launch and flight sounds get sent, but the pop seems to be client-side and ignores the tag.
