Horses & Minecarts freeze while riding near unloaded chunks. This happens almost every time I ride near unloaded chunks. I provided a screenshot of my debug screen and a manually triggered debug crash report log.
EDIT: MORE INFORMATION You cannot leave the horse, and the game continues to respond as well. If you wait long enough, you may continue riding the horse. You can also fix it by relogging. This bug occurred on a Minecraft Server.

No it does not. Chunks may not load, but the horse is completely frozen. You don't even need to be inside the unloaded chunks.
Is this still a issue in the latest version of the game(currently 1.13.1)?
If so, please add it to the affected versions, thanks!
Don't know if its related but (Hopper-)Minecarts sometimes lose their momentum when the server is shutting down or the chunk unloads. Cannot reliably reproduce. Version 1.16.5
Hello, I play survival quite a lot and have seen so many complain about this so i decided to raise this as an issue. Minecarts are so expensive to build. I want to transport lots of blocks using a chest minecart over long distances (industrial to main base) yet the minecart does not continue on the rail due to chunk loading. I feel that this means that minecarts especially chest minecarts are pointless as they do not go on their own through chunks and there's no way to transport them with yourself on the cart. I think either the chunk loading issues should be fixed for minecarts or, bring out a new item that can link several chest minecarts to a normal cart. This way the user can chain several chest carts to a normal cart (like a train) and transport these through the chunks. If nothing gets done with this chest minecarts are pointless. Please can you give ma an answer on whether this is ever going to be patched?
Please fix this so that minecarts can travel the world on their own no matter the distance as long as the track is powered etc.
