Pre-ordered Minecraft Dungeons, but launcher says "buy now"

I bought an MCD and it told me to log in to my XBOX ACCOUNT, I did it and it connected me to an acc that I don't think I have because of the name but it has my details, then it took out the MCD launcher and told me to do it again buy while I have bought it

I experiencing same problem

I received a message in the Minecraft Launcher that says that I need the Minecraft Dungeons Launcher to play. And now im downloading the game!

Please verify these things:

• You can log in to minecraftdungeons.net using your Windows account you used to purchase the game

• Click your user name, then Profile

• It says you have purchased the game

• You are logged in to the Minecraft Dungeons Launcher using the above account

• Your Minecraft Dungeons Launcher version is at least 2.1.14931 (Click Settings > About)

i've done those steps, Still hasn't worked

But there's no receipt and the Money was taken off of the account i bought it from

Issue is resolved, My uncle bought the game for me Now i can play Thanks for the help tho.

I have the same problem as Nancy having, but there is no Uncle to buy a new version for me

I have the same problem, I pre-ordered the game on april 6th and got the reciept but when I log in to minecraftdungeons.net, it says that I have NOT purchased the game.

Also, I only have Windows 7, may the problem come from there ?

I sincerely hope that this is still considered a bug, regardless of whether we bought it from the Microsoft Store or not. 

I have the same problem and followed the instructions but it still says buy now

I think the issue is: I downloaded this from gamepass, and that's why it doesn't recognize that I bought it?

When I open my minecraft launcher, at the bottom it says "Have you purchased Minecraft Dungeons on minecraft.net but can't find the game? Download the dedicated launcher to play."
And it directs me to this link, https://www.minecraftdungeons.net/en-us/download/
So i guess try to download that and then try again?

oh wow now the game crashes every time i open it because i tried to relog in a lot of times

I'm starting to worry about my money and access to the game now, 15 USD is a big money for me.

Also, anyone knows where can I monitor updates for bugs? I really want to know what is happening

Hey there, Ined. What if I bought a game through your site, and I still can't log in because of this bug?

@Ined - why would this be the case? Windows should be Windows. I want to use the Minecraft Dungeons launcher. I do NOT want to use the Windows store. I can't even request a refund to repurchase it. I'm not going to ask my uncle, wife, or anyone for permission to purchase another copy of a game I already purchased.

Why would you even add a feature to buy a game not by Microsoft store, if it is not working? I am so pissed rn

Really? It so stupid... Why, Not supporting, Then why log in with xbox account the same as microsoft store. You are bought by Microsoft the same but other launcher...

ok so i bought hero edition thru microsoft store and it won't let me install. why is this the case?

This is still an ongoing issue  - I have logged into the mincraftdungeons.net with my account & it says I don't own the game, but clicking though the logged in account details takes you to the Microsoft Xbox account which then takes you to the My Microsoft Account which shows the purchase and ownership of Minecraft Dungeons (windows 10 Hero edition)

I am having this issue as well but here are my thoughts.
while its "one account" I believe that Minecraft Dungeons considers the Xbox profile to be a separate account and the "main" one . I use one email, [email protected] (not my email, just an example). If I go to Microsoft.com and log in and look at purchases, I can see where I have bought the game. If i go to Xbox.com and sign in, well thats my "Xbox profile" (but still same account and log in) and the game does not show up.
Following the instructions above, I have signed into the minecraftdungeons.net and, low and behold, its the xbox profile...which doesn't associate store purchases. 
So we need to find a way to fix where it pulls from each "account" for windows users.

I was hoping to kill some zombies with my son tonight but I guess I'll have to wait.

Can this problem be solved one day? When I bought the game I was expecting to open it through a launcher, not store which I never use and totally unfamiliar. This is such a horrible user experience. If I can open Minecraft using launcher why I can't do the same thing on Minecraft Dungeons?? I hope you guys can figure it out one day because this is such a weird and unnecessary policy to separate the game into two platforms.

Why is the launcher not supporting Microsoft Store purchases? I purchased Hero Edition off of Store, can't you please support it? If not, I want my money back.

Hello everyone, we are aware of that this is an issue for many of you. On a personal note I work in the launcher team so I am happy you would prefer to use our launcher over the Microsoft Store.

The Microsoft Store and Minecraft Dungeons Launcher (and website) are two separate stores with their own 'inventory' systems. They both however use the same Microsoft/Xbox account system. When clicking 'Manage account' in the launcher, you are taken to the Xbox account site which shows your games acquired from the Microsoft Store, hence the additional confusion.

We are looking into several options to improve player experience, such as adding the launcher to the game in Microsoft Store, or supporting Microsoft Store ownership to the launcher. This is a complicated matter however as it extends beyond Mojang Studios. When you buy the game through Microsoft Store you only buy it for Windows 10, while the launcher gives access to Windows 7/8/10.

I am not interested in "inventory" system, I'm interested when you'll fix that "Buy now" bug. I have proof's that I own the game, but launcher says that I don't, and XBOX says that I don't. I want to play a game. I was waiting for it and I am a huge fan.

I want to play to play the game as well, but I made a dumb choice going for Microsoft Store, and I am hoping you can support purchases thru Microsoft Store, The game thru pictures and trailers look amazing, so good job with that!

I have the same problem i have tried the note above but it still doesn't work.When I click on buy now it takes me to the shop I then logged in clicked add to cart and went to my cart then it said "you cannot buy minecraft dungeons if you already own it" so i do own it but it still says buy now.I have re-installed the launcher bunch of times and tried the beta but nothing works.

Please help.😃

i bought the game early, same problem, they have taken the money, but i dont have it in my profile. but if i log in to microsoft it says ive bought and paid for it, same email on both places

Look's like we only can try to refund our money. Guys, just fill a complaint and try to return your money back, they're not gonna fix this problem I think

wait I'm the only one where it doesn't work?? i mean my launcher updated too but it's the same like before

I also have the same issue, I pre-ordered on the web store the game and whenever i open the launcher it says Buy Now. 

@Shane.reder I have to mention though that I reinstalled my launcher and re-logged too.

When I pre-ordered the game, It said that I don't own it in my Microsoft account. But now it does. I'm assuming that they're transferring the game licenses to our Microsoft accounts manually and update the launcher every once in a while so that those who pre-ordered it can play now.

Ok so my launcher updated but still says buy now. I bought thru microsoft store and i really wanna play. not to say to fix it fast, but i want this bug to be fixed

I purchased the game but it doesn't appear in my profile
