MCPE-120237

Player world spawn is sometimes underwater

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new world with one of these seeds:

182775954708827013
12345680920567746
8551093406003765688
-6589075877818017985
666 (Fixed)
996142647 (Fixed)
2732741554986502051 (Fixed)
-127821176888600297 (Fixed)

Observed Results:
The player spawns underwater.

Expected Results:
Players should only spawn on land.

Original Description:
players are able to spawn in water
(found it in the latest version but it may be possible in others as well)
I think it is a bug because the game should have tried to spawn me in a sand block near water or in a random non liquid water like all the other mobs(they are unable to spawn with water in their feet I dont mean the sand part)

you can reproduce it by using the seed 1865037485 and spawning a bit in the seed if it doesnt happen first try

I sometimes spawn in lava. But that was in a custom world. I made it huge lava lakes so little land. 😃

Exactly the same seed -204599536

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I'm the creator of MCPE-113400 "Deadly Seed" and apparently mine is a duplicate of yours even though this was posted 2 months after my report. Is there any reason why that is?

@Thomas Markwick: Yours was closed as a duplicate probably for the same reason mine was: We both created our tickets on an older version of Minecraft, and they became out of date. This is on a newer version. I experienced this with seed -204599536 in the 1.16.201 hotfix (which I reported in MCPE-118741), but that seed now generates differently in 1.18.2 (you spawn on top of a tree in a birch forest with no water nearby).

However, the seed 1865037485 in this ticket also no longer generates the same terrain at the spawn point in 1.18.2. You spawn on a snowy landscape with no water nearby.

Affects 1.18.10. Seed 996142647.

Seed 12345680920567746 Still works for 1.21.50.20 Preview.

(Find it from ~2 Billion seeds)

It's not fixed in 1.21.50 although stated otherwise in the changelog.

A seed can reproduce the bug: -1674197430, in 1.21.51.

However, the spawn point can be different every time you create the world, so you may need to try many times to reproduce the bug.
