When crouching, the actual aim is slightly above what's displayed. This can be easily observed when aiming at the edge of any bounding box.

Can confirm. While crouching the crosshair isn’t adjusting to the new position and acts as if the player is still standing. Resulting in selecting blocks above the crosshair location while in a crouching position.
There is another related issue with crouching and I'll make a bug report in detail for developers... But it may be related and needs to be linked for any hotfix. MOLANG query.is_sneaking only returns true when players main_hand is EMPTY. If player has anything in hand, query.is_sneaking returns 0.0. I'm really surprised this made it into a release folks.
it also effects the latest version of Minecraft. Sneaking acts as if you can go under 1 1/2 block gap.
This issue is very frustrating trying to build with slabs and trapdoors please prioritize this issue in your next bug fix I am unable to play untill then beause I cannot see where I am clicking
This is still an issue in the latest stable build 1.19.7102.0. It's quite annoying as when I'm aiming at a part of a block with my crosshairs, the correct block is highlighted, but the item is placed on the wrong side, or sometimes even the wrong block (block above) is highlighted.
When crouching, the selected block (the one with the outline) is the same as if you were standing. So basically it's not changing the selected block when you crouch.
