Xbox Failed to Sync Minecraft Worlds Due to Lack of Saved Data Space

I got on Minecraft today 4/26/2025 to see that all of my minecraft worlds lost their picture and just said “unknown”. I tried syncing the worlds, and we got saved data space error code (pic). I tried 1) hard restarting the console, 2) clearing cache, 3) new mac address, 4) clearing local saved data, and 5) signing in on a different console, and none of the options worked. Now my saves are completely gone. Not a single world would load, not even worlds that were only a few hundred mbs. The worlds existed in the cloud but could not be synced. I am aware this has been an issue since 1.19.

I use bedrock, not preview, and had similar issue. My worlds are gone. They routed me to this thread

I will add my own experience to this since I was redirected here:

My Minecraft fails to sync as soon as I go into the game and the main menu loads up on Xbox. It says it is syncing, gets to 3% and then says it can't sync to cloud because there is no data left. I tried deleting local saves, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, restarting Xbox, etc. Nothing works. All of my worlds that are on the cloud are gone now. Gone as in they just don't even show up in the list at all. My forever world was one of them. Since I can't sync to cloud, I can't get them back. The only worlds I have access to are ones from 2022. Anything 2023-2025 is all gone. I had probably close to 100ish worlds and now only 48. I even tried deleting a bunch of worlds, but of course that didn’t work.

I have this issue too. Deleted my game and reinstalled it, cleared local saved games, basically everything. So now I can't even play my worlds locally, I not playing until this is resolved. I was super close to actually beating the game for the first time in 13 years for me.

Same thing happen to me!! It basically first say there is no cloud space and after that i reset my xbox and then i try to sync worlds back everything just gone! They mean to go Xbox Cloud…

Even i haved cloud space… Only Minecraft is getting trouble that i do not have even i reset my whole system

@J-Bear Same here! I refuse to play this broken game until I have all of my progress back. I've been playing Minecraft since it first came out on 360, and just like you said, I was also very close to beating the game for the first time. I had fully enchanted netherite gear and everything in my forever world, which is a world that is no cheat survival so I can get all the achievements. For now I went back to Minecraft Xbox One edition until they can fix it.

This still happen in 1.21.123 Hotfix

The issue even exists after 1.21.124 Hotfix as well.
