Efficiency Enchant Bug - blocks can only be mined one by one

My shovel is diamond Efficiency IV and sand and gravel are also affected
With the pick Magma blocks are also affected

1.2 on iOS (realms and local), reproducible with dirt block diamond shovel Efficiency III, unenchanted shovel works fine.

Actually the bug introduced with 1.2 affects tools and even your hand without any enchantments. For example, at the bottom of a desert temple, you can break, and continue to break, sandstone blocks with a pick axe but the moment you move to TNT you have to break it a block at a time. Clearing grass for seeds is one at a time unless you start breaking a block and move to the grass before the block has been broken completely. However you could say that it affects all tools on enchantment 0? This is tested before it gets released so I am very confused how a bug in such a basic mechanism has got through.

Same thing happened to me while chopping trees. I brought shears to collect the leaves and usually it goes through them really fast. But it would only do one at a time unless I started to mine the wood first, then move to the leaves.

Same here,it doesn't mine continuously but you need to Tap again to mine block next to the other. Whether with tools nor hand.

Still confirmed with the latest released version. Also agree with the empty hand - You should be able to repeatedly break grown sugarcane by holding down the mouse (Windows 10), but instead it needs clicked for each individual sugarcane.

I have this same problem using a mouse on windows 10. For me an efficiency 5 diamond pickax with hast II I can only mine blocks one at a time. Same with a diamond shovel. Instamine does not exist with this version of Minecraft.

As of 1.2.2 on iOS, this seems to be fixed, at least for me.

1.2.2 for ios. Efficiency shovel works on sand and grass/dirt just fine. Nothing seems to work on crops, cane, and netherwart. Hand or shovel breaks just one block. By accident I broke three blocks of netherwart at once but couldn't replicate.
