animals (including squids in water) and hostile mobs are rapidly spawning everywhere around my area (im in a plains biome) and that cause a lag on my phone and increase the memory of my world. I have to cheat and /kill @e to kill all the animals in my survival world. This happens start from 1.2.0 to 1.2.5 beta, I have a picture of my survival world that spawns a group of mobs, this happens so many time on me but I forgot to screen shot it, please fix this ASAP.

This is similar to the lighting issue, mobs spawning in well lit areas, having the same issue with creepers blowing up everything.
Did they bring this bug back? This looks like what was happening in MCPE-25514, but that screenshot is crazy.
I too was having the problem but it seems that 1.2.6 update has reduced spawning significantly - probably too much the other way now as animals rarely spawn in groups more than 1 and far less frequently..
Yeah, I've noticed the same problem with over-fixing this. I had to travel a ridiculous distance just to find two cows. I'm still getting zombies and skeletons galore, but animals aren't spawning like they should anymore.
I think it is not over fixing but they had to introduce the 'workaround' of reducing the spawning rate to almost zero because of another fundamental issues that has been introduced i.e. even a relatively normal number of mobs in one place is causing horrendous lag. For example, a normal village with all the villagers going about their normal business will cause everything to slow down. Even the incorrect spawning rate did not have such an effect on the lag.
