The 1.2.15 update for iOS was put in place to fix the underlying issue with purchases going missing, but there is ongoing work to restore everyone's accounts to where they should be.

We now have a hotfix in place and going forward this should hopefully not be an issue for new purchases. We are continuing to run scripts on the backend to resolve people already affected. my son is using minecraft PE for an iPad with IOS.
With the PE update from today, 4th April 2018, (delivered by Apple App Store) we encountered a critical problem:
1. My sons minecraft coins purchased in-app and via AppStore are set to 0 with the new Version 1.2.13. Before there where 80 coins in.
2. All his bought world template, textures etc., purchased by his minecraft coins, are locked. The worlds he created by the bought templates are locked and cannot opened. A dialog appears and says he has to pay ...
Using the "Wiederherstellen" button in the in-app-store of Minecraft does not help. Shortly after pushing the button, a dialog appears and gives the friendly message, that the done purchases will be recreated - but nothing happenend.
My son (10 y) spend a lot of money and feels a great loss ...
Our Android driven Nexus7 has no problems after the update - bought stuff can be used.
A tip: searching in the web for a solution shows me, there are some another users with the same problem.

Same issue on my daughters iPad. Same version. Also, we can't connect to my son's worlds and he's using the previous version. An error says that it's an "outdated world"

I just wanted to let you all know that I've escalated this issue to our store team. By any chance were any of them logged into Microsoft accounts or just Apple accounts? Any further information you can give would be great as we try to get your stuff restored. Thanks so much!
Also, regarding the outdated world, that actually should be correct as you need both games to be on the same version. If another game is on a previous version of the game it won't be able to connect because the new version has new content.

here are further informations:
(1) My son and his younger brother wanted to play Minecraft together
(2) The younger uses an old Android Nexus7, Playstore did the update automatically to the newest version of MC
(3) The older boy (uses an iPad Air 2) tried to connect to the Nexus7, which failed (to old client, message is known) because his iPads MC was not updated to the newest version. iOS version at that time was 11.2.x
(4) The iPads Minecraft was updated through App Store App (using the boys Apple Account)
(5) After update, Minecraft was only startet as usual and the coins were away and the templates etc. were locked.
(6) The Android pad had no problems.
(7) Restarted the iPad - no changes
(8) Did an update to the new iOS 11.3 - no changes.
(9) For testing looked for the state of the Hollydale template (was free on christmas) at
my iPad Pro (iOS 11.2) - was not locked
Nexus 7 - not locked
iPad Air 2 - locked
(10) And now, I looked again at my iPad Pro, and ... now HollyDale is locked! (funny ...)
(11) iPad Pro: did the update to iOS 11.3 - HollyDale is still locked.
I do not have any more informations and more details for you, sorry!

My 12 year old son has the same problem. Zero coin balance and all purchased worlds and skin packs locked. He is using an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5 . All purchases were made through my iTunes account.
This happened when he updated to 1.2.13 and remained a problem after updating to 1.2.14
Did the update to 1.2.14 - no changes.
Attached a real screenshot of the stores message after pressing the button "Restore" (in German "Wiederherstellen"). As described before: nice message, nothing happenend

Obviously, it seems not to be a device problem (all from Apple, and all different models with different ages), rather than a Minecraft software problem.
As in iOS it is not allowed to use Java, it looks like that the problem seems to be in the ObjectiveC code - or do MOJANG use Swift?
Different language, same problem: your store code cannot retrieve purchase data from customers authentified by an normal Apple account (App Store or something else you can use with an Apple ID).

All three of our Ipads and Iphones Minecraft PE are NOT logged into Xbox Live and all the paid and 12 Days of Christmas worlds, skins and coins have ALL disappeared.
Same exact issue as OP on two iPads. The problem started after updating to 1.2.13 yesterday. Coin balance is now zero, all in-app-purchases are gone. Updating to 1.2.14 did not correct the problem. I have a third iPad which was not updated to 1.2.13, and still works fine. I noticed when accessing the Minecraft store, the one running 1.2.11 says "Disconnected!" at the top, and the two that are affected say "Sign In". I believe the issue is pertaining to Xbox live.

Hi. My 7 year old has the exact same issue. Woke up in the morning the other day, wailing, "Oh no! All my resource packs and coins are gone!" It was heartbreaking.
He is using an Apple iPad Mini 4.
My son of 7 has the same Problem, minecraft money is gone and bought world’s are locked. How soon can we expected a solution fir this issue?
We are trying to get a hotfix out for this ASAP. I am also getting a list together of folks on here that have run into this issue so we can make sure you haven't lost anything after the hotfix. This is a top priority for us to get fixed.
I’ve had the same issue with both of my kids accounts. Zero coins and no access to purchased upgrades.

Sent email to Mojang about this issue. Still waiting for response. After update, daughter lost worlds, coins, entire saved work. Now youngest daughters iPhone auto updated and she has the same issues. Lost a lot of money and more importantly months of creations. Has anyone heard how to fix this? Major error.

Having the same issue here as well with my kids games. Even repurchased City Life this morning just to have the game lock again and tokens disappear.
Also having this problem. I purchased a couple of skin packs for my son a few weeks ago. Earlier this week they were locked. I assumed it was a glitch after an update and re-purchased one of the skin packs. It was relocked the next morning. Also, purchased city life and that relocked the next day. My son, who is autistic, is extremely upset by this.

Just now my four year old daughter was complaining that she was not able to log into her Halloween mash-up world. I checked her iPad and all four of the mash-up (25$bucks worth) of her add-ons are locked after purchase. Please help us fix this. Her dog passed away suddenly and minecraft has helped her keep her distracted and somewhat content during this time of hardship.
Also, pressing the [Restore Purchases] button did not work. I restarted her iPad, nothing. We never logged into xbox live-we do not have an acct with xbox live so all purchases were left on the device only.

Hi Helen. I have 3 family members who lost all of their purchases but I don’t know how to identify them for your list. All are using Pocket Edition on iOS.
My daughter had 340 coins, but needed 830 to download a texture pack in Minecraft. So she bought 1020 coins for $5.99 and purchased Wildlife Savanna. She then went to install it, it took ALL her coins (the 350 + the 1020 she purchased) and it did not give her the Savanna template. She’s using the Pocket Edition on iOS. Thank you!
I contacted Apple, they gave me a full refund for all four mash-ups- Halloween, Adventure time, Norse Myth, Chinese Myth—I will wait until we can repurchase again. I guess. Please comtinue to keep us posted.
This has happened to me as well. We have lost coins and various packs and when we click restore nothing happens. It was on iPad Minecraft app.

There should be 2,740 minecoins but the minecoin counter on the top R of screen shows up as "0". She is understandably upset & it was a VERY frustrating procedure to try to figure out..being locked out of the Microsoft didn't help.
I read that refunds are possible within 15 days. Let this official notice that I want a refund unless you get it fixed BEFORE April 10, 2018. If not, process the refund for BOTH of these purchases.

This is a very frustrating and quite unprofessional of MOJANG. Two of my grandchildren visited on the weekend. One of their favourite things to do is to play Minecraft with Grandpa on all our 3 iPads. I had purchased content for me and for my grandkids earlier last month. Well now it is all gone! I tried to explain to them what happened but I could see they were frustrated just as I was.
I repurchase the SkyFair and we played for about 20 minutes. When we came back an hour later it was locked again and the leftover coins were gone - zero.
My recommendation certainly is to NOT buy any more coins or content for your IOS device. In addition I request MOJANG give a credit of mine coins for their inconvenience. I think 2,500 at this point would be acceptable.
Here is to a quick and permanent fix!
I emailed the Mojang team on 6 April, after IOS update, about a purchase of coins that very same day but showing as 0, plus then my son finding all of his worlds purchased thus far have disappeared too. I am following this so that I can check all money spend is returned by Mojang once the bug fixed! I am just glad I have kept all receipts Apple have emailed me as evidence!

Just wanted to add my voice here to the mix. Same thing has happened to my daughter, everything is locked but one world, and all the coins she had and the ones recently purchased have disappeared. Zero balance. Frustrating.
Same issue for our family, two of my sons (using Apple , iPod and iPad ) lost purchased skin packs, as well as all their remaining coins after the update. I contacted Mojang and they referred me here, clearly we aren’t the only ones affected .
We got hit with this today as well... I have two daughters who purchased texture packs and worlds in the last week, plus had coins left over. All has disappeared or become locked after we updated Minecraft this morning. Both have an iPad and iOS is version 11.2.5. This happened right after we did the latest update on Minecraft; 1.2.14. We are looking forward to this one being fixed 🙂
Same issue for me as well. We loaded 1.2.14 and when we opened it, all my son's coins were gone, all his purchased worlds, and all his created worlds ( based on the purchased ones ) were locked. I double checked that iTunes was logged in as the same user who purchased the coins/worlds and I clicked on the "Restore" button to no avail. Even worse, I purchased more coins to replace the worlds and during the long parental authorization process ( family sharing setup ), the app never completes the transaction. It just sits there with the waiting task bar animation. When I force the app to quit, restart, and go into the store it notifies me that the purchase transaction is pending and then awards the coins. If you do this more than once, ( eg. a subsequent coin purchase ) do the force quit and restart upon lockup it again loses all the previously purchased coins and worlds! The "Restore" button does nothing. After $25 messing around trying to get it restored I am done. Please fix this and improve the feedback provided by the "Restore" function. BTW: This is a local apple account. Not a Microsoft Live one.

Obviously this reply makes no sense to me. I purchased & downloaded the app to my iPad, purchased the coins via the Apple store and have never signed in to any account, Xbox live or otherwise. I provided support with copies of my receipts from Apple and will not be spending any more time & money on this game until it’s been resolved. Hoping for a quick solution to the problem as my son is extremely frustrated (as am I).
We are using an iPad Air version 11.2.6 and Minecraft version 1.2.14, although I see many people here are using all different devices so I’m guessing it’s not specific to the device we are using.

We have had the same issue. Updated both my children's iPad minis and now all their world's are locked and their coins are at zero. I hope this bug is resolved soon.
Lost worlds, skins, texture packs, mash up packs, and coins when upgrading to 1.2.14 on April 5. Frustrating that a 10-year-old has spent his own money, only to lose his purchases. I hope that there will be refunds if the issue can't be resolved!!!
Our issue has previously been reported under ref : 32076. The issue is with an IPad mini 4 iOS version 11.3 and purchases from the store are paid for via my Apple account. This issue began with the 1.2.13 Minecraft update but has continued now we have the 1.2.14 update.
Could we get an update on this issue. It's been 6 days since this was reported.

My two kid have found the same on two 1st gen ipad minis, running latest iOS 9 version (last supported for these models). No xbox live just coins purchases via Apple store - all free Christmas and purchased content is locked same as everyone here after update to latest Minecraft PE version. So definitely not caused by an iOS update.
There is an update that is rolling out now, please note it can take a few hours to reach everyone.

Could you confirm which version number you are using please? (The version with the fix should be 1.2.15.01) Also, it might be worth restarting your device to see if that helps.
I am having the same issue. All the items we received back at Christmas is now locked. I also purchased a world "Rising Sun" which is in my storage but when i try to open it, it tells me i have to purchase it. My skins and texture pack i purchased is also locked. I also had coins in my bank that have disappeared. i am version v1.2.15 iphone 6s plus.
Have installed update 1.2.15 but purchased worlds etc still not there and coins still at 0. Have tried the restore purchases button but nothing changes. Already have the free “Legacy skin pack” but this hasn’t helped either. Am going to have one very upset 10 year old when she comes home from school.

I just installed update 1.2.15. I clicked on restore and the message: "Restoring, your purchases" appears momentarily and disappears. Nothing is restored.
Installed the 1.2.15 update, however nothing is being restored.
The only version available to get from the iTunes store is 1.2.15
I don't see a newer beyond that: 1.2.15.01.
Tried the "Purchasing the FREE Legacy Skin Pack". Restore Purchases. Rebooting the ipad. (several times)

I was able to check my daughter’s iPad-
Since I was fully refunded by Apple yesterday, pressing “Restore Purchases” was a null and void. I attempted to purchase from the store as usual but it was not allowing me to complete purchase because it was unable to connect to the store but I checked my wifi connection and it was up and running. I restarted the iPad and tried again but I was still unable to begin transaction. I then decided to make a Xbox live acct to sign in. I made a new Microsoft email created a new gamertag-signed in- then finally, I was able to re-purchase coins to download Adventure Time Mash-up. So far, it’s working; however, I am not to please that we HAVE to sign into Xbox live in order to purchase.
Purchased Fall Out Mash up via IOS yesterday. Logged in today and mash up pack is gone. In a world that was already created using the 'Fall Out Texture Pack', the texture pack was gone and in place was the standard Minecraft texture pack. The purchased Mash Up shows up as 'locked'/never purchased. I'm assuming this is the same issue tracking in this current bug. Purchase was confirmed by Apple marked as of yesterday, so it was a valid purchase. Please advise
Hi, my sons are using Minecraft PE for iPad (both on version 11.3) with iOS. They've been experiencing the same issue everyone else has: all coins and purchases gone! We haven't reported it previously, but been following this issue. Just then we installed the update 1.2.15 and it didn't fix the issue, even with 'purchasing' the free legacy pack. Please keep working on a fix. While we were waiting for the 1.2.15 update to finish my 9-year old said "I can love Minecraft again!". It was heart-breaking (if a little melodramatic).
My sone on iPad 2 has lost his coins - 360 - after purchase of Cloud Jumper which closed and will not reopen having swallowed his coins. He , therefore we are not at all happy. It seems that Mojang is happy to take money off children and not provide a working product then refuses to refund the costs. This is rubbish service!!
With the 1.21.15 update I wasn't able to make any new purchases unless I logged into Xbox Live. It wouldn't let me purchase the free legacy skin pack. It just said to check my internet connection. Never asked for an Apple ID. I restarted everything. When I logged into Xbox I could make new purchases and it asked for my Apple ID.
I've lost a few purchases and coins that were made using only the Apple ID (logged out of Xbox Live). I tried to restore while logged out of Xbox Live and also while logged in. Nothing has restored yet.
Update fixed one daughters issue but not the others. She is still missing all coins and locked out of worlds.
My son and daughter each have minecraft PE on an IPad Air (2 IPads). Last week they were each prompted to install the update, and like others on this list, both of them lost all of the worlds and skins they had purchased as well as all of the coins that had stored. We don't use Xbox. They are both very upset, and I am reluctant to buy new worlds or skins for them because I can't be sure they will remain. I know Minecraft indicates they are looking for a fix, but how will we know when the fix is available? Is there at least a way to get all of the coins back (The ones that were used to make purchases as well as those that weren't yet used)? This problem is obviously pretty widespread, and it is particularly disturbing that user money has been lost. Please help.
Thanks for your urgent attention on this. Happy to keep trying fixes. We did not have XBox Live accounts for the kids before. Now we have created those accounts, and both iPads are now logged in. Unfortunately, 1.2.15 did not solve the problem for us.
One iPad had updated to 1.2.15 automatically. Coins were at 20 (seems low!) and worlds were still locked because packs weren't there. Tried Restore purchases. No luck. Tried "buying" the free pack. No luck. Tried reboot. No luck.
Other iPad had not updated automatically from 1.2.14. Updated it to 1.2.15 through App Store. Coins still at 0 and worlds were still locked because packs weren't there. Tried Restore purchases. The release notes imply that something might need to be updated on the server. I'll check again tomorrow to see whether anything happened in the background.

Sorry this is still going on. Even though the 1.2.15 update went out, apparently there is still some processing to be done to restore everyone's purchases. We are working on this to get everything back to how it should be though!

Hotfux Update has no effect on ios, world are still locked and coins are missing
Still have this issue as well AND any attempt to repurchase or purchase new content stimulates a dialogue error that says I need to check my internet connection- no other apps or video streaming are having issues so I know it is isolated to Minecraft: very angry child that lost all his content.
Legacy purchase is a nonstarter as a new bug seems to be affecting connection to the store servers. This update has done more damage than good.

We are also experiencing the same issue after "upgrade" to 1.2.15 on an iPad Mini: coin went to zero and skins locked. Initially, it was just a couple of skin packs, but Xbox customer support advised us to delete and reinstall the app. After that, all purchases are locked.The Restore Purchases button and buying the free pack does nothing.
We are still having the same issue. My son wakes up to talk about everything that he lost. Is there any idea on how this might be fixed or when?
The 1.2.15 update did nothing to resolve the problem for either of my sons, on both an iPad 3 and an iPad 4. Coins are still at 0 and all purchased content still locked. Getting frustrated over this issue.
Trying to resolve this issue on the advice of Xbox Support resulted in a complete loss of all my son's data. Do NOT contact them or believe what they tell you.

It says:
"I bought coins but they are not showing up on my account. What do I do?
If the purchase is visible on your account when you log in to your account at account.microsoft.com, try restarting your device. Make sure that you are logged in to the same account that made the purchase. If you are still unable to see the coins you have purchased, contact Xbox Support."
I followed this advice and contacted Xbox Support. The technical support agent there told me to delete and reinstall the Minecraft app and that would resolve the issue. I asked if that would result in any data loss. He assured me it would not. I went to delete the app and saw the iOS warning that deleting it would delete all of its data. I asked again if deleting the app could cause loss of data, and the representative very confidently stated again there was no chance of losing anything.
So, I deleted the app, and now after chatting with another XBox rep for an hour and researching online, it appears that all of the worlds that my sons have spent hundreds of hours building on the device are gone. (iCloud backup was not enabled on the device.) He is devastated.
It is bad customer service for Mojang to refer it customers to the parent company's support if that service does not have enough knowledge to offer good advice. It is shameless negligence to do so when XBox support provides incorrect instructions about issues that could lead to devastating data loss assertively and without equivocation.
The .15 update has not resolved the original issue logged. Please can you update us on where you are currently with trying to fix this? I don’t mind even being told another week just some communication would be good. Thanks
Same issue as everyone else. Both kids lost all coins and are locked out of worlds with templates they already purchased. They also lost all of the worlds from the 12 Days of free presents over the holidays that were given including Hollydale among others. Hard earned allowance and chore money went to purchase their worlds and skin packs. We are not logged into Xbox. They play on iPads. They are very upset, but patiently waiting for a resolution.

Please add me to the list AGAIN of folks whose kids have lost or is locked out of their Minecraft worlds. We updated to .15 version for iOS (iPad), we redid the purchase, etc. but to no avail. Not trying to put the screws on, but I will say that my child, who is on the spectrum, is trying their best to remain patient. Minecraft has been one of the best things for her, it has helped her make friends, and feel on par with her peers, and now it's gone. I would hate to have to completely get rid of the game because it can't get fixed, she'll be crushed.
Both of my granddaughters purchases have not been replaced. They have iPad minis.

This issue is still actively being worked on. Please hang tight. They are working to get this fixed as soon as possible.

I’m also having the same problem... I updated Minecraft PE and now my purchases have disappeared so that I can’t access my worlds any more. It is very frustrating. Hopefully this will sorted soon. Happy to send through invoice/receipt details if needed.

I take some comfort in knowing we’re not the only ones with this issue. My kids upgraded their pocket minecraft and lost all previous purchases and coins. It’s been a few weeks and they’re still so disappointed. We’ve had one item refunded by iTunes but not all of them.
I have updated version 1.2.11 on my iPad recently , but found that all maps which I purchased from apps store were lost. How can I recovered them ? Pls advise.
Same issue... All purchased worlds and templates have been locked and say that they need to be repurchased. Also, coins are now set to zero. Looking forward to the hot fix. My 9 year old paid for all of this with his own money so he’s not feeling too great at the moment...

I’ve also experienced this same issue and unfortunately haven’t seen a fix in over a week.
My 8 year old son experienced the same thing. He is crushed because all his skins/packs/worlds he has purchased over the past several months are now locked. He used his own money to download them and he has been in tears out of frusteration. I have no answers for him. Will this be an automatic fix or do I need to contact someone specifically with every item that is now locked so that it can be restored?

Have just installed update 1.2.16 but the issue still hasn’t been resolved for either the coins or the purchased items. None have been restored. I have tried all the workarounds previously suggested in this comment string but none work. Gutted.

I got notification over 24 hours ago that the issue had SUPPOSEDLY been resolved & it would take a "few hours" for all purchases to be restored. However, NOTHING has been restored. I am beyond frustrated that all of these skins, worlds, coins, etc. that I purchased cannot be used, and it was all just a waste of money. I have tried numerous times to download the legacy skin pack and it is USELESS. I have tried "restore purchases" and even though I'm told that my purchases have been restored, they aren't. I was patient for the first 2 weeks of this, but now I am running out of patience. I cannot be refunded through iTunes because the purchases were from too long ago, so I surely hope that if you can't resolve this problem you will be refunding me in the for, of mine coins so I can restore all of my purchases. It seems as though every few days somebody comes on here and says the problem is resolved and it's still rolling out, but I am starting to wonder if that is actually the case because everybody on here seems to still have the same problems. This problem needs to be fixed, and it needs to be fixed properly. And please, don't say that installing the newest update or "buying" a free skin pack will fix it, unless it is actually going to fix it!!!
Can we please get an official response to what is happening? My child is asking every day when she’ll get her things back, and it’s difficult explaining why she can’t have it yet. And, to tell you the truth, it’s also difficult for me to understand. It’s been TWO WEEKS! We paid money for things that are gone, and are dealing with loved ones who are heartbroken they can’t access things they once had.
My child is also really upset that he cannot access all the worlds we’ve bought.

I am also having the same problems on both my account using my xbox login (some purchases I made previously are now locked and require paying for again) and my itunes account that the children use, which had quite a lot of coins and purchases that have now all disappeared.
Needless to say the kids are not happy at all as it was their birthday money that they saved up to use to buy the coins and content and now it has all vanished and I don't know what to say to them as I have not idea where its all gone! 😞
How did you get 1.2.16? I’m at 1.2.15 and there are no updates for me? Although, since it does not work, it may not matter and I also do not want to tell my kids there is a fix only to find out it does not work. Nevertheless, please let me know how to get the 1.2.16 version
This happened to my two kids about 2 weeks ago. Both have it on iPads. Then about a week ago my sons one got fixed and started working again with all the packs and realms but my daughters did not.
It was around the time they were saying it was fixed but would take sometime to update everyone’s details. However since then it has gone quiet and my daughters ones still don’t work.
They must have done something because my sons machine got fixed so not sure why only that one

I emailed Matt Booty, head of Microsoft Studio, on April 16th. Here is what he said: "Hi Dave. I’m very sorry you are experiencing problems with the Marketplace. As you are aware, there was a bug introduced last week on iOS that caused some players to end up in a bad state and their purchases would not show up. I want to make it clear that we take commerce very seriously and understand that when commerce doesn't work, it’s trust breaking. We shipped an update on iOS on Thursday that fixes the root issues so no more players should get in this state. We are running a back-end script to fix up players that got in this bad state, but there are several ways an account can be missing entitlements. We have addressed the most common case, but we are working around the clock to address all cases. One thing you can try that can help is to go purchase a free piece of content from the store. Purple Parrot Party Palace is free and the first item in the feature row right now if you don’t already own it. We are also shipping a 1.2.16 release shortly that will provide additional telemetry to help fix up any users that are still in a bad state. If your account isn’t fixed by purchasing a free piece of content please contact [email protected], our community manager and she will personally make sure your account is fixed correctly. We apologize for this inconvenience."

Well, when I get home I'll try this next fix and see if it actually works. Not that I'm holding out even half a hope as none of the others (including downloading free worlds have). If it doesn't work, I think I'm going to write Apple/iTunes to request the removal of the Minecraft app for purchase for the time being. It's bad enough thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people are probably affected, it would only be good practice to prevent more unsuspecting customers to get mired in this mess as we all have.

I updated both my kids iPads to 1.2.16 and tried the usual "fixes". Downloaded free content and tried restoring purchases but still no coins or purchased content is available. My kids keep asking when they will get their stuff back and I'm getting tired of saying "hopefully soon".

I find it disgusting that this is happening. My ten year old spent all her money on Minecraft purchases and lost them all. Minecraft needs to fix this, or perhaps a class action should be brought. They are taking advantage of young children.

My 6 year old son is missing this game so much.
We buy him coins as rewards and now he’s left with zero coins and all the stuff he’s purchased previously is inaccessible.
I’m quite shocked that this is going on for as long as it has.
It’s not like this is a free game, people have paid for this app (in my case on iPad), paid for countless coins, offer at £6 a pop to get anything that my son is desperate for and now it’s all gone!
The mineraft brand is so huge that I’m surprised you don’t seem to have the resources to fix it!

dont worry just click sign in or in your case "anmelden"
step 1: go to the minecraft store and make sure you are logged in with a microsoft account that has your stuff and coins
step 2:go to the +(plus) sign next to your minecoins then tap restore purchases
step 3: enter your apple id password(dont comment it here!) so the apple store knows it is you and hit done!
step 4(getting really close!)go the packs you downloaded and download them and world that are locked should get unlocked!
step 5:enjoy!!! 🙂

I do not want any XBOX-Account for my son and I do not want to be forced to create one account, so thats easier for Mojang to fix the bug by doing less or nothing.
Sorry guys of Mojang: but the bug is more annoying the longer it lasts to solve. It seems a little bit, your provided bugfixes are banana bugfixes matures at the customer ... 🙂
I also thought about the XBOX angle Mr Squirltle suggested. I logged on to my account guess what? All my re-purchased content was locked and I had zero coins. Even the "free" stuff was locked. At that point I logged off not wanting to go further down the "rabbit hole".
This issue is incredibly important to 1000's of Minecraft users most of who are children. This, to me, is not a "gamer" issue! It is more than that. Minecraft gives control to the user because it is a not linear or predefined story line. That is why children like it so much. They decide the outcome on their own. This is particularly important for those on the Autism spectrum. Now excess of anything is never good but when you are locked out of your own accomplishments it is extremely frustrating. And the younger the child the more difficult it becomes for parents to explain what is going on. Especially when you are the "fixer"!

I've written to Apple asking them to suspend the Minecraft app for sale in their Apps Store. Here's what I wrote, in case anyone is interested, until a TRUE fix is created, I encourage others to add their voice to Apple (and Xbox and wherever else Minecraft can be purchased):
I am requesting that the Minecraft app be suspended for sale in the Apps store. There's a HUGE bug on their end -purchased worlds are locked, and coins go missing (zero balance). This problem has been on-going for over two weeks and each update and fix offered does nothing to restore or resolve. It'd be irresponsible for Apple to allow new purchasers to get mired in this enormous mess. Thank you.

The down side is everything she built is gone and I had to re-download every world and skins individually. Ugh! She had purchased a LOT! It took all morning. How is Minecraft determining who gets fixed? My to daughters are still locked out. If they are going to lose what they are working on now, to replace what was lost, it is almost as bad. The .16 hot fix did nothing for us.
How IS Minecraft deciding who gets the hotfix? We are still locked out. My boys (9 & 5) have been super patient, but if everything built is gone even after a proper hotfix, I think the words Minecraft and Mojang may be mud forever more in this household, which would be really disappointing. I agree with Tammy, what compensation will these kids get?? They are heart-broken.
Am I being petty and nit-picking in that I feel like we shouldn't have to go to Apple (or Xbox or elsewhere) to discuss the cost to re-download? It's a Mojang issue, and not technically an Apple issue so while I paid through Apple, Mojang should be doing the work on their end to discuss the cost of re-downloading with Apple. In this current scenario we have to work with TWO different places to get re-downloaded (without the earlier builds to boot!). Obviously I'll do what I can to get my daughter her Minecraft back, but this is ridiculous having to now work with two different companies over one company's problem. I'm still waiting to hear back from Helen, so I'll wait to see what she has to say too. I'm curious to read if anyone else has gotten their fix, and how it went.

and chose to back up your stuff to xbox live

We still have the issue with missing purchases on iOS (ver. 11), however coins remained the same. We are now playing on Minecraft ver. 1.2.16 but it happened on a previous version (which?).
Missing worlds: Hellstone Keep, Lapis Lagoon - water park. Games created in these worlds are locked.

If you cannot fix the bug for such a long time please at least restore the money in order to buy the missing world again.

This is getting absurd. Helen hasn't responded to my email nor have I seen anything on this forum from Mojang for 4 days. It's been a problem for over two weeks and still no resolution for us nor most people it seems.
My daughter purchased Juliet's manor Friday 20 April, disappeared next day along with remainder of her minecoins. Using Android on Amazon fire. Is there a fix yet?
I think at this point, the right thing to do for Mojang would be to credit users with minecoins so we can all buy again those worlds/packs/skins that are missing.
We are still working on fixing this issue. Many users have had their accounts restored, but the team are still working through the list to get everyone back to where they should be. Thank you for your patience, I understand this is incredibly frustrating for everyone affected.

Same- the city life world was lost---as with all others. so we bought it again and the next day it was gone with all his coins. My son keep asking me is it fixed he loves this game and is so upset
We have had the same issue. My daughter’s purchases were restored on her iPad, but my son still doesn’t have his coins and worlds back. We even added the Legacy Skin pack, but that did not help. Mojang told me to contact Apple regarding the purchases, but this is clearly a problem that Mojang needs to resolve.
This is beyond ridiculous. What is the verbiage and who are you all contacting at Apple to get a refund ? Please let me know.

Yes, I second that, what is the verbiage everyone is using to get Apple to be able to redownload without paying again? Because this is the response I received from Apple when I wrote in about trying the redownload (I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get charged again). I have contacted Apple, who will do nothing. They said my only recourse (even though this is well over $100 in purchases) is to contact Mojang. I've opened a case to have it closed and moved here. I've emailed Helen and heard nothing back. And the purchases and coins are all still missing. No answers and no help.
I have finally had both my children’s games fixed.
I was in this forum pretty early in when this happened and my sons iPad was fixed within a couple of days but my daughters one only got fixed this weekend.
I was just wondering how everyone is getting on with this. Who has had it fixed and who hasn’t.
I have been in touch with Helen and sent her a screen shot if my CID and DID numbers. I think this is what they use to identify you. I would recommend sending the same screen shot to Helen and asking her to process yours.
You can find the Numbers by going into the Minecraft game. Then go to settings, then profile and then at the bottom of the page you’ll see the numbers.

@unknown Have you been in touch with your details already (either by emailing Helen or through the feedback site as mentioned)? If so, then you should see your purchases restored soon. If not, please get in touch directly so we can restore your account.
I have been in contact with Helen she asked me for the information in the settings to show what version I have. This was over a week ago. I emailed again and she said the engineers ran into trouble with it. So I am still waiting for any changes
My conversation with Helen was April 26. I don't have my daughter's purchases restored yet. It looks like Helen is alone in fixing these issues.
It took a while, but Helen did respond to my email after I gave her the info she needed to forward to the engineers. She said it would take a while before hearing back from them about when things would be restored. However, about a couple of weeks later, out of curiosity, I just went into my kid's minecraft and noticed all had been restored. The pipeline is long, Helen is servicing probably hundreds of people on her own, the engineers need to service them and by the time they tell Helen it's fixed, and by the time she's able to let each person know it's been fixed, while helping others troubleshoot their own issues... so you may want to check minecraft on your own periodically if you've handed over the info they need to look into a fix.
Re: 'Checking periodically'. It was April 4 when this situation happened. It's now May 10. Because my daughter loved her worlds so much, there's been so many 'periodic checks', that it had turned into a cycle of lost time and disappointments with my child. I asked Helen (April 26, after I gave my info) if she could tell me when she has completed the fix, so that the 'periodic cycle of disappointment' would not continue.
This has been difficult in our household too, especially since one child poured all his savings and time into the game and the other one didn't (and is, therefore, none the wiser). I know it's been a long time, but I really believe that Helen is doing all she can to make this right. What else can any of us do right now, but wait? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Another sad little boy with this problem. Purchase of 10th May disappeared this morning upon charging the iPad. Outrageous that it's still affecting new purchases despite what latest update at the top of this thread. I have written to Helen and await a response. Minecraft have until about midweek before I contact iTunes for a refund.
same here. just happened today. I bought my daughter 2 worlds which also left some extra coins. she was able to play for 2 days then this morning she went to play and was very upset that both worlds are locked and the coins are gone. I've a requested a refund. I don't want to keep throwing money out the window if every time I spend it, the worlds relock and have to be repurchased. that's b.s. she is not logged in through Xbox. I purchased the app through Google play.
Minecraft iOS 1.2.16 and all my 6-year olds purchases using coins are gone and I have zero coins now. I have worlds that were created using packs that are no longer accessible in the list.
I do not have a Microsoft account.
Once again. For the second time. After I made more purchases. I have been locked out of them. The original purchases... HAVE NOT BEEN RESTORED. This is absolutely ridiculous. At this point for all this insanity. I want the problem fixed and I think myself and many others deserve if not full refunds then at least some sort of compensation. Because this is ridiculous. All I keep getting is the run around from Mojang support and others involved. I’m sorry if you have many with this problem. But a company that serves a product to this many people should have the resources to handle a crisis. Because this is just ridiculous. It’s awful customer service. I just can’t even fathom why this is still an issue. I’d love to actually hear back from someone for once. Because I’m at my wits end. I’ve lost well over 150 dollars in purchases now. And that is not okay.
We’ve followed this issue on this page, we’ve contacted Helen, now we’ve installed the version 1.4, but my son still can’t access his purchases!!!
He seems to like the new under water functionality, but he’s really upset with not being able to use the things he purchased through the App. He wants his money back!!!
We're still working our way through everyone's accounts to make sure everything is put back to where it should be - however you might want to get in touch with Mojang Customer Support directly.
With the last update ALL of our worlds and skin packs have unlocked and are working! Thank you!!

upgraded to 1.3.something, then to 1.4.3 and still the purchases aren't there. I guess Mojang must have one person in a room punching cards into a mainframe to "restore previous purchases" that have been missing for months.
@unknown - If you're still missing purchases after the 1.4.3.0 update, please get in touch with Mojang Customer Support.
The same happened to me after the oceans update. When I opened the app it was super glitchy so I decided to back up my worlds on to my Microsoft account and delete and reinstall the app. When i opened the app up after reinstalling all my coins, world templates and worlds I had made and spent tons of time making we’re gone. Tbh kinda pissed cause I spent a good amount of money on that stuff so please just give me my stuff back. The worlds I made too. _

I am having this issue now 03/24/2020. I have bought a bunch of worlds over the last two years and am now unable to access a single one. It is infuriating that this is even an issue and insulting that the response time to this issue is so apathetic.
Anybody got answer on how to fix issue with purchased worlds being locked this week?
My son is having the same issue. All of his purchases using min coins are gone and he can no longer use his templates that he purchased. He, too, also lost all of his coins and is down to a zero balance.
