As per this article, I am reporting this parity request here
https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360005029872
I have checked the beta changelogs to try to make sure this isn't an already implemented feature in a future version, but I apologize if I missed it.
In the Java 1.13 pre-releases, Pumpkins and their crafted variants can be placed like normal blocks, removing the requirement that they be placed on a block. ( https://youtu.be/9DY8LU3lghc?t=354 )
This is a feature I was excited to hear about, but I cannot reproduce this in my Bedrock game, despite the release of the Update Aquatic for Bedrock.

Minecraft has several different editions, and some features vary from edition to edition. Often this happens when one edition evolves faster than another, and tweaks or balances are made that don't propagate immediately to other editions.

Going forward we're going to be tracking parity issues and feature requests on the Minecraft Feedback Site, and we'll only be tracking bugs here at bugs.mojang.com.
We're already working on achieving parity across versions where possible, and we're very keen to hear your requests or suggestions, so we'd encourage you to make a post at https://feedback.minecraft.net, or upvote an existing topic there.
If you're not sure whether your issue is a parity request or a bug, hopefully this article will help explain further: Parity Request Guide

Oh jeez. Seems I have forgot to comment on this ticket. Missing 1.14.30 and 1.14.60, also is fixed in one of the betas so iβde recommend finding out which and updating that so when 1.16 releases it can be tagged as fixed.
Still affects turtle eggs MCPE-87096
That may have been a new feature in java. So maybe they haven't added that into bedrock yet.
