Iron Golems are indifferent towards hostile mobs

Hello. At the beginning I would like to apologize for my English but I translate it with google translate.

Today with updated my version of Minecraft on the xbox one console to version 1.11.01. And I was thrown off that the Golems who are supposed to defend the village from mobs do not attack them at all. Is this what it was supposed to be or just some error? Has anyone noticed this yet?

Yes, this is a bug I have seen before. It is very annoying.

And what's best, if you hit the villager yourself, do not attack. Another problem is Drowned. The village's peers do not attack me. After the last two updates, these bugs are a bit more.

What I have noticed is that these naturally spawned Iron Golems will only attack the mobs if they attack the villagers. If they don't manage to attack the villagers (which is very rare), then they will not bother to attack. The iron golem can still get attacked though

This is a major bug which needs to be sorted out 🙂

mh yesterday Golem did not attack me, although I fought him in the middle of the year, he attacked me today. even though I did not pound the peasant especially. only that one of them attacked the others were indifferent. interesting

Iron Golems may at times get so distracted by hostile targets in the distance, that they ignore more relevant threats nearby, meaning that Villages can get wiped out because the Iron Golem is not attacking mobs.

Also, if the Iron Golem is in very shallow water, they are unable to move / pathfind out, and get stand helplessly. They are also unable to attack when they are in water.

Iron golems will try and get you from more than 20 blocks away if you dare to accidentally hit a villager but hostile mobs they almost ignore - they just amble around without a care in the world. There was a time that they would actively chase but not in 1.11 release. A noticeable change/bug.

On a realm playing on android 8.1 on Bedrock 1.12.1, I found that player created iron golems are indifferent to hostile mobs even if attacked by the mob. I have a skeleton mob spawner in place where I have an iron golem on the other side of an iron fence separating them. The iron golem should be able to detect the hostile mob through the iron fence and expected behavior is that they iron golem should punch through the wall at the skeleton. Not happening. Even when the skeleton got two shots off on the golem, it did not retaliate. Something definitely buggy here.

After further testing, I now believe this is not specific to iron golems. I brought a tamed wolf into my test skeleton spawner area. It also did not aggro at skeletons that fell into the area where the wolf was placed. It tried it both leashed and unleashed, and I also tried punching a skeleton with my fist to see if that would cause the tamed wolf to aggro. Nope. That didn't work either. Finally, I placed the wolf directly into where the skeletons fell into the kill chamber. The wolf still didn't attack any skeletons that fell down. The skeletons continued to die only from the lava held up by signs at skeleton head level (skeletons standing on an iron trap door to ensure part of their head was in the lava). But no aggression triggered by either tamed wolf or iron golem. Our realm is on hard.

The changelog in Minecraft.net says that this is fixed: "Iron golems will now ensure they can reach a target before choosing to attack it (MCPE-42402) ". However when clicking (MCPE-42402), it redirects to MCPE-43402.

Resolving issues that were marked as fixed in the 1.15 and 1.16 Betas, now that 1.16.0 is being released.
