I can't find the file for a new world I made in my phone, which makes me think it's being saved in application instead of external, even when it's set to external.
Minecraft launcher can't seem to find my worlds since the last update but the files are still on my device. I'm running android 11. The new world I created persists in the launcher
I went to the same area in a copy of the world without caves and cliffs experimental mode enabled. the spawner was up 12 blocks, -1339, 24, -529, and there was a cave spider in the spawner. So the spawn egg only be missing when experimental mode is enabled.
Yes, this is still the case in 1.17.30 Caves & Cliffs. I upgraded the same saved world to experimental mode and re-visited the mineshaft. the spawner has moved slightly and the mineshaft is now interrupted by a lush cave, so I know it is a freshly generated version. There's no cave spider spinning in the spawner and no spiders spawn when there's no light. If I add a cave spider spawn egg to the spawner in creative mode, cave spiders start spawning from it instantly.
I have also encountered this glitch. If you re-log after sleeping it will usually clear the weather. I've noticed that farmer villagers and bees do their thing as if there's no rain. However, fishing seems to still be sped up as though it's raining.
I also encountered an instance when a thunder storm started but there was no visual or audio cue until mobs started swarming me.
I am playing in Android in a world created in 1.17.10 with caves and cliffs enabled.

Are you using a bucket with a water in it? There was a change recently where you have to have a bucket of water to catch fish and axolotls.
Could be a bad spawn - I was walking around mountains in a new world I spawned yesterday and could see 3-4 patches of exposed coal at any given time. Also, coal now gets less common the deeper you are in the world and should be non-existent under y0. Iron is also much less common low in the world and more common in the middle and high up.
I am having a similar issue on a caves and cliffs world I started yesterday with the experimental toggle enabled. I walked about 4000 blocks and found no surface caves that weren't flooded. I did update an old world to the caves and cliffs experimental mode on android and have found lots of caves that aren't water logged - including a lush cave underneath an azalea tree that I dug into, so I am not sure if they're just really rare or there's a difference between an updated world and a new world with the experimental toggle.
I was wrong, eventually the world created in 1.17.10.20 with caves and cliffs enabled also crashed.
mcpe-129077 seems pretty similar to my issue except without much information beyond crashing while moving. 🙂
@OcelotOnesie - MCPE-128985 does not exactly describe my issue as it doesn't appear to have anything to do with breaking blocks or killing mobs. It crashed once when I stood still for a minute and then turned around. In my most recent test, I was able to run into a desert temple, dig down and retrieve all the TNT and chest contents, pillar back up, and it didn't crash until after I had gotten back out again and was running towards a tree. For me it also appears to only occur in worlds that were created without experimental and then had experimental caves and cliffs enabled. The version of -1890628709 seems to be stable when it is created with experimental caves and cliffs turned on from the very beginning. I will play through further to see if it starts crashing later.
I should also add that I created the world without caves and cliffs enabled and then after creating the world, updated it to the caves and cliffs experimental mode. Original world before upgrade to caves and cliffs does not crash in 1.17.10.20. However, the same early copy of the same world, updated to caves & cliffs when created during 1.17.0.56/58 crashes within 1-2 minutes of starting. New world with the same seed and caves and cliffs experimental mode enabled. I created a new version of the world with caves & cliffs enabled from the beginning with the same seed and have not had any crashing after several minutes of game play. I also re-created the world by loading the same seed without caves and cliffs enabled and then upgrading it to caves and cliffs and got a crash about 2 minutes in. I tried again with a random seed and go the same result.
Steps to reproduce:
Create new world in 1.17.10.20 BETA without caves and cliffs experimental mode enabled (sample seeds 439453181 and -1890628709)
Exit world and enable caves and cliffs experimental mode.
Enter world and play for 2-3 minutes (moving, attacking, breaking blocks - doesn't seem to matter what you do).
I am having this problem, too, with a world upgraded from 1.17.0.58 - Reported as MCPE-129081
I am having the same issue with world spawn -1890628709. Spawn moves from 104, 66, 6 in regular mode to -32, 64, -32 in caves and cliffs mode. In regular mode, the bonus chest is at the spawn spot. In caves and cliffs I found the chest at -28, -18, -27. I play on Android with Beta 1.17.0.58
[media][media][media]Upon searching with different search terms, I found that this is the same issue as MCPE-125872. I dug around at the new spawn (-32, 64, -32) and found the bonus chest at -28, -18, -27.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a world in 1.16.221 Minecraft Bedrock. Move around to load a few chunks
Open world in 1.17.0.58 and turn on experimental mode to enable caves and cliffs generation (In my case, I started with a previous iteration of the beta and have updated multiple times, I don't know if that can be reproduced). I ran into it when I was playing in 1.17.0.56 and have not yet seen it happen in any new areas since updating to 1.17.0.58.
Go to an area you may or may not have already been and explore underground (I am not 100% sure whether this happened in an area I had previously gotten close enough pre-beta to load, though I think it was not, but as I understand it's a known issue that bedrock will create random chunks even when you've not visited).
Find chunks with bedrock under y0 and see how bedrock has formed.
Observed Results:
Pillars of bedrock are generating within a chunk under y0, not filling a complete chunk in this instance.
Expected Results:
A chunk that has been loaded before the world height/depth changed in bedrock is supposed to generate with bedrock from y0 to y-64.
I hope this helps. Thanks for the opportunity to improve my report.
As of the latest update 1.17.0.56, axolotls can be bred.
This is happening to me now but only since installing the new update (1.16.100),
I started a realms trial specifically so I could transfery world due to a phone change, and now I can't download my world and the connection is too unreliable on mobile to play on realms regularly. 😞😞😞. My world is 806 MBs and my phone has plenty of space for that.
I am seeing this on android as well. Employed villagers and villager children are also killed instead of converted.
