Also it might be a device issue, a few years ago, I had a strange problem of client freeze upon trying to play singleplayer and I also tried uninstalling this and that and all those. Didn't work out well. Now I got a new PC with better specs everything works okay. I know its strange but idk lol
Use the following commands:
/gamerule drowningDamage true
/gamerule fallDamage true
/gamerule fireDamage true
and the issue should be resolved.
