That is interesting. I have a question because I may know what caused the issue in the first place. Someone ran the command in a RCB at one point
/execute @e[type=egg] ~~~ summon egg
would that have caused the infinite loop you were talking about?
On a final note the world did actually eventually load. It just took a good 5-15 minutes to load that chunk area on my machine. It would crash most consoles. I wanted to make sure that information didn't get lost
So I managed to delete the center chunks in MC Tool Chest and my world went from pushing 5GB normally and spiking to 16GB when I enter the problem area down to 500MB everywhere. Idk what was so bad in those chunks but wow it healed the world to delete it!
In the stone circle in the Bad_Chunks jpg my ram usage on my device jumps from 5 GB to 16+ GB. If I stay outside the circle I have no issues.
It is very easily repeatable
More details in MCPE-98243
So do I need to repost this to MCPE-85614?
The world is having issues and I worked very hard and diligently to trace the problems. These chunks don't contain a lot and is causing the ram to shoot up to 16 GB+
So should I just copy and paste this over to that report?
Why has this not been addressed? Why do we not have a blocks folder?
For some reason it started working. Unless you guys see an issue with it just mark it works as intended
Reporting what I have investigated so far.
When I use an execute command as armorstand named "end" at 0 247 0 in the End (it's in a ticking area) I am able to tp items to the armor stand from the overworld using an execute command in a command block.
However. I now set a ticking area at 9742 247 8042.
Now I am unable to use an execute command from the Overworld to teleport items to it. I have tried to tp items to 2 different armor stands with 2 different tags at different heights. The original tag was "bgstore." but for the sake of debugging I went ahead and attempted the tag "end".
No success but I figured it would help to share the information
EDIT:
After a lot more investigation I learned I can setblock redstone block in the end. So I attempted to activate my item tp commands in the end. What I did was I placed a wood stair in the end and a stone stair in the overworld. I learned that the tp would tp the items to the same locations in the world in which they started. So for now I am going to use structure blocks. I am going to save the items in the overworld and then load them in the End
Knowing our luck they'll go another 6 months with a game breaking bug that for most of us was introduced after 1.12 for most multiplayer issues. But at least they get to make us wait longer and throw it into 1.16 instead of just patching the stupid thing. Kind of disgusting that they are making people wait EVEN LONGER to get their fix
^^^ According to the wiki. (So not an official source). 1.15 is being moved to be merged with the release of 1.16... My assumption is because they want to release it to have symbolic moment of Bedrock finally catching up to Java (minus a few features difficult for the engine). I hope they hustle with it and it's not something that delays us further because someone has their heads a little high in the clouds.
Can we get a response from development? This issue has blown up from since 1.13 and you guys don't even provide a way for us to revert which update we are on. I've been patient but this is absolutely absurd. Part of me thinks that this one bug report is consistent of multiple bugs that have been put on the back burner for far too long but I'll give you a hint. Aquatic added some serious bugs BUT it was the Fox update that really kicked off the severity of these crashes. Something tells me people are exploring part of their world that finally generates something that corrupts their game data. Or it really is a chunk loading issue that is causing crashes. I want to release a multiplayers world that I have been working on since October all while I have been watching this bug kick off (1.12 worked absolutely fine) and you guys keep releasing updates even with a significant amount of content before fixing a game breaking issue. I hope that these new updates aren't compiling on top of bugs from previous updates but seriously please let us know what's going on or if there has been any success. Please look at whatever you added in 1.13 that could maybe be the cause of this. 1.13 was a big update and while this issue has been around for awhile I think the problem most of us are facing stems from 1.13. Please give us some sort of a response
Edit: A bug I came across - When I had some players design an area they were putting individual water blocks in the air... Eventually this caused a problem and the realm kept crashing over and over within a few minutes of being on it... This was on realms so I didn't get the pink screen but maybe water block updates have something to do with it. I reverted the world to before it ever had them and I haven't had the same issue since. Im not sure Im just trying to think of ideas so this can hopefully get fixed
I am also having this issue on Windows 10. It seems like a certain part of the world started acting weird Friday. I am trying to rollback to a version before the issues and see if I have any luck. It seems fine in single player but realms crashes constantly
I am also having this issue. I noticed it is only in certain areas. If I go out into nature the game doesn't crash. It started doing this Friday and I REALLY HOPE they fix it
That sucks with your loss. It seems realms is broken... I have been able to play my own worlds on single player but on realms it breaks. Has that been the same for you?
Same here.... I downloaded my world into a single player map... runs fine. Only crashes on realms.... This issue is tied to.
BDS-2852
And it looks like the list keeps going
As a prescript this only happens on Realms. Not single player mode.
This is getting ridiculous with this stupid update. I would almost prefer them undo 1.14 at this point. My world is crashing in realms constantly. It seems like this and the chunk loading issues are growing problems. My world constantly disconnects me after I'm on for a couple seconds. It seems like it DC's. It almost seems like it crashes when realms tries to save and then it rolls back or just outright crashes. I did upload the map to a single player world and let it run all night... No issues. Only on realms
It crashes the game for armor stands. I wish there was an update on this issue or some sort of response from admins.
I am having this issue when giving armor stands shields in their offhands. Is there any progress on this?
**Edit**
/replaceitem entity @e[type=armor_stand] slot.weapon.offhand 0 shield
Also crashes when trying to place in other items like totem
Command updated to proper command*** I just did it on the top of my head
It's on realms version 1.8.0. It's identical issue to 1511
I was so confused thank you!
I can double check whether it is still an issue.
Essentially what would happen is. I would execute a command as an entity in the end.
Lets put armor stand at 0 90 0 in the end.
The items would TP to 0 90 0 in the overworld.
As a fix I would save the items in a structure block. Reload that structure in the end. And then tp the item once it was loaded in the dimension I wanted.
I can give it a go and see if it is still an issue in the current version
