I agree with @MADLAD3718 , the froglights works well with my own RTX resource pack, this issue should be closed
I confirm this bug still exists in 1.19.XX
When I tried to create a 128x128 RTX rail texture, it was "half-cut"
Hello, I got this issue too, but it was only performing using "high resolution" textures (256x in my case).
The chains emitted light only on its horizontal borders.
I modified the texture my pack was using so that the chains had a width of 36px instead of 48px (in a 256x256 px image) and it removed the boring emissive effect, but the chains still have strong light reflections (sometimes, in some places) so I guess the PBR are not used correctly even with that.
[media]I just tried and yes it is.
I tried to enable Windows pagination file (swap equivalent), on a system with already 16GB RAM (we can think that's a bit overkill) and it doesn't crash with it enabled.
After looking a bit closer at the game memory consumption it seems there is a big RAM consumption spike at game startup (something like 7GB memory and cache together), and a huge spike at world startup (10GB+), the game crashes at this moment so I think it overflows total memory. And then, if the game didn't crashed the memory consumption is reduced to something normal when the world has finally loaded.
All of that happen when using a 256px resolution pack (VanillaBDCraft in my case).
I don't think this memory consumption spike is normal and it is probably the source of the issue in my opinion..
I can confirm, I experience the same issue since the Nether Update (1.16 and 1.16.1) on Windows 10 Edition.
I use VanillaBDCraft, it crashes on 128x and 256x resolution, but it does not crash on 64x resolution.
I already used it before, and it NEVER crashed in 1.14.
Can't you "just" do something like disabling ray tracing effects on dropped items in all scenarios ?
I mean, this issue affects both RTX and non-RTX packs, while you could fix this by just making sure ray tracing is correctly disabled when using a non-RTX resource pack, it won't fix FPS drop for people who play with a RTX resource pack.
