Can confirm this is still happening in 1.18 full release and possibly worse or different scenario than described, but I will provide screenshots of what I have experienced. All 3 screenshots show that the xp is being sucked up by hoppers going through blocks (such as bottom slabs, carpets, and trap doors).

Dhranios, thank you for finding my mistake in the naming of the texture file (that did fix the issue I was having and I can't believe I missed it), however I have tried your suggested method for leaving out the "texture" in the root file and still got the same issue as before. Sometimes it just takes a second pair of eyes to find the mistake.

I have added a sample of the full data pack along with its embedded resource pack that it calls the background texture from. I am also including the error that appears in the log file when you open the advancement window.

Can confirm that this bug is back in 1.16.1 and occurs exactly as OP has stated.

That bug is stating that if the player is at 16, Y, 16 in the nether and jumps in an End Portal they end up at 16, Y, 16 in the end, whereas this bug staring at the same coords in the Nether (16, Y, 16) and jump in an End Portal I am teleported to 128, Y, 128 in the End. So no it is not the same thing as the other bug.

This is still different in that when this happens the Obsidian platform does not generate at the END teleported location either.

It is similar in that the behavior is the same but it is different in that instead of going to the exact same coords that you are in the nether it multiplies the coords by 8 like it would do if it were a nether portal. That bug tracker is for a 1:1 coord teleport from Nether to End. This issue is a 1:8 teleport Nether to End.

Well hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong, but if the blockstate is also determines how the blocks are to be rendered in the game and the model determines how the texture is rendered of the block then wouldn't creating a waterlogged model file for all the blocks that can be waterlogged solve the issue?

Can confirm that this issue is still present in all versions after the OP's reported versions. For creators trying to make a superflat void world for their Skyblock maps only regular mobs will spawn and Guardian Temples will not even spawn in.
