Just an FYI, no mods/datapacks
Ah ok, thankyou.
As I can't find any post relating to 1.19 (not snapshots), i'll put this here, or if it's the wrong place, please let me know.
I created a 1.19 world a few days ago (brand new world, not upgraded), and the Allays will not duplicate at all, or even dance near the Jukebox, i tried ones i got from a mansion (brought them through nether portals to get them back to my base, and even tried spawn egged ones, i also tried the command mentioned above, and nothing works with them, unless it is a bug with 1.19 itself, I don;t know, but i can't get them to duplicate at all.
Just tested this in 1.18.
I built the Bee farm in the nether, and AFK'd for a few hours and it was fine, so i went back and forth a few times to the overworld, then the bees would just stay in the nests and wouldn't come out again.
Although lightning is a possibility for some bees disappearing, i've had honey farms down near bedrock level, without any sky access, so no way for lightning to get anywhere near them.
All i can suggest to people (for now), is breed a lot more bees than you need, and keep some nests/hives spare to replace any you lose, until it's fixed
Sounds like basically they need to make it so when a bee enters/exits a hive/nest it will force a chunk update
Well, like i said before, i've had them disappear quickly, and other times it's taken a long time (IE: playing for weeks without them despawning), so it seems to vary
I happens with both, i've had nests and hives (most recently hives), but i've had them despawn with both.
Sometimes they will despawn quickly (in this case it was maybe a few days after creating the honey farm), but in other cases it can take a lot longer, it seems to vary
I don't have any stairs or blocks near the hives for them to suffocate on, or anything in the farm that could cause them any damage and cause them to die.
It's surrounded by glass and only the front of the hives are exposed to the farm, so they are just despawning, not dying from damage etc.
Seems to be similar to the bedrock issue where passive mobs can despawn, but with Java it just seems to be bees that are affected, as i haven't seen any of my other animals or villagers etc despawn.
Oyuyu, i've had that happen once or twice, bees get stuck in the hives/nests and don't come out, despite nothing blocking the front of them, i ended up just restarting minecraft and they came out of the hives if i remember correctly.
Happens to me as well, noticed it with the last few worlds i created in 1.17.1, create honey farms and then at some point all the bees vanish, so i re-populate the hives/nests and then again at some point they vanish again, and have to rinse and repeat.
Thankfully haven't noticed it happen with other mobs, just bees.
Never had bees disappear in any of the 1.16 versions
My bad, it seems to be an Optifine bug, works fine in 1.16.1 without it, my apologies
I understand that this is a game and not real life, but it just seems odd to have grass killed off by water, since water usually makes things grow not die, but anyway, if it could be made so it takes a reasonable amount of time before it decays the grass, that would be great, as shifting floor flower farms are a major FPS killer and lag creator
Luis Vervaet, did what you said and the first fight generated an end gateway, thanks 🙂
Hopefully it will work for the other 19 fights, lol
I had the same issue today, beat the dragon twice, but no gateways, world created in 20w21a but didn't go to the end until 20w22a
No, i only just went to the end in 20w22a
Ok so fixing the seed then re-generating the chunks my witch farm is on will fix the mob spawning in the witch hut ? thankfully my guardian farm and spawns at the pillager outpost are still working.
Also, yes to confirm seed is stating 0, even though it is actually -45xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for the link to the fix 🙂
Don't use MCA Selector to delete the chunks, if the chunks were created in a previous version of world generation, you will end up with completely different terrain when you regenerate it.
This is what i got when i deleted the witches hut

Snowy Taiga took it's place, in a swamp, lol
Thankfully i made a backup of that world before i deleted the chunks, and hopefully mojang can fix it in a new update or something, afterall they fixed the pillager outpost spawns which were broken in 20w21a, but working again in 20w22a
Well i tried going back to 20w20b, but the corruption from 20w21a is still present, so i reloaded a backup of 20w20b but it would mean losing over a week of progress (guardian farm was not built yet, witch farm not built yet, several portals to overworld locations not created) etc etc. So either way i am stuck with building a fresh Witch farm AND Guardian farm either way i go, unless Mojang fixes the issue in a snapshot, but by the sounds of it the world is corrupted and can't be fixed that way. I read the post on a possible way to fix it, but it's WAY too complicated to bother.
Well damn, how dumb am I, ugh...
Please disregard, I'm just stupid 😞
