Minecraft 1.8.9 and 15w51b confirmed

Sorry for lack of updates for this issue, I forgot to do so. However I just confirmed it happens in 1.8-pre1

I also had a pet donkey (on snapshot 14w05b), and I left it to the nether while I was busy working couple of hundreds blocks away, and it despawned with a lot of items in it's backpack.

I've looked into it, and it seems that Minecraft looks for the block you are closest to (I think in the coordinates in the location of the block), and uses it as base to see if you are on a slime block, and not if you are colliding with one. Same can be seen with falling particles. If you fall next to lava, just enough not to fall into it, you will see lava particles, not particles of the block you are on top of.

Let me specify this; The mobs can sapwn on biome ID "MushroomIslandShore", but not in "MushRoomIsland". You can "fix" this by yourself by removing any block from "MushroomIslandShore" so they wont spawn, if it bothers while waiting.

It seems to me that the mobs have a lot smaller spawnrate so that may be intended feature, unfortunately.

You can pick up items in creative mode, even when inventory is full, I believe since 1.5, or even earlier (not sure thought), but never heard of them reappearing. Cool thing also, in creative mode you can pick up arrows that usually never despawn in 1.7 (Because of a bug)

Tokes: Ah I see, how did I not think of that?
Thought, I noticed that slime blocks have limit on how far they can bounce you; I tried on 2000 blocks, and 200 and gave me same result: ~ 100 blocks. Pretty unfortunate, isn't it? =)

Make sure to check your VSynch setting, it if it on, you will be limited to your monitors refresh rate (usually 60 fps)

I believe this works as intended

This is likely a server-side issue. But to be fair, since 1.7, most servers have been experiencing lot of lag, for no apparent reason, so it may be issue with software rather than hardware.

I can confirm it happens with horses as well.

Okay, thanks for the information!
