This is not a bug. The devs stated that in this snapshot the dripstone caves biome does not generate naturally yet. It's even stated right on top of the article of the 20w29a snapshot: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-20w49a
[media]Everyone, I found two things. I had the same issue that wouldn't quit for the life of me. However, I fixed it.
1# backups that were saved while people are online do not work as chunks are always changing
2# backups that are saved while a wither was in the game also dont work as chunks are being updated
SOLUTION: USE A SAVE WHERE NO PLAYERS OR WITHERS ARE ACTIVE
Leia, instead of hitting “Leave Bed,” click “Open Chat.” Then type anything, leave the chat, it’ll kick you out, and when you re-open it it should be good. If not, do those steps again.
I tried what what David Ray did, and it worked! It took a couple tries, but now I can play! Thanks!
well... sort of.
hmm... why'd i do that in the description?
but then you cant see them so you cant trade... well sort of.
oh
wy do they?

Issue fix: 071 (0.7.1)
Wait for alpha 1.0/beta 0.1
They're fixing it in 1.6
True, and anyway, I rly think the nether reactor is a little low-class, but I'd wait several iOS(s) before you actually implement the nether.
I said you could remove it. But today my minecraft ran out of memory.
I believe this issue may be disconfirmed, as with my last three comments.
My minecraft in general has been freezing on occasion ever since I got a 64-bit Java.
Also no crash report was listed, but I can force crash when it happens.
I am also using the TooManyItems mod, and that may be the case, so it might just be a mod problem, if that's even possible.
Can confirm.
