Wait... are these giant infinite veins actually a feature???? HOW did I miss this? I've followed the update closely!
How big are they?? I imagine they're not infinite, right?? Just massive??
The issue is they don't see you through these blocks. They may charge through them if they're already charging.
Can we re-open this? I don't think this is WAI. It wasn't like this in earlier snapshots.
Seriously? WAI?
Also present in the release candidate.
Apologies for this. It turns out Piglins never did 4.5 hearts of damage on Normal.
I went back to an early snapshot (20w09a) and Piglins still did 4 hearts on Normal and 6 on Hard.
The Wiki said they did 4.5 on Normal and 6.5 on Hard, and as such I had a false memory of them doing such. It turns out they never did and the Wiki was wrong.
Maybe the bug arose in Pre7. It's hard to tell with these pre-releases coming so fast. But compare it with any of the snapshot versions and you'll see.
I dunno, they never mentioned in any changelog nerfing their damage. And why would they get such a MASSIVE nerf?
Now, I know absolutely NOTHING about coding, or anything about game programming..... but surely coding only 4 states of waterloggable wouldn't be too difficult.... right?
Would it really be harder than say, making parrots fly or dolphins jump between 2 bodies of water?
I mean it's pretty obvious what the problem is. The water and the stairs are not right.
Re-open this please.
How is this a bug? It looks intentional to me.
This isn't a bug this is how the biome is meant to be.
Yay, doing those things appears to have fixed it!
It's a word document because I wanted to change it to block out my real name from the report. Nothing else is changed though.
I can't submit it it's too long.
Okay but I am still going to block out my real name.
Do I really have to attach the full crash report? It contains my real name and I don't want to post that to the internet.
I added the crash report, can this ticket be re-opened please?
This is not a valid ticket anyway. It turns out this isn't a bug at all. I was unaware that these mega ore veins are actually a feature added some months ago that somehow flew under my radar.
I guess they are very very rare. But if you've played Survival Minecraft for 9 years then come across something like this for the first time, not knowing it's intentional, it.... really does seem like a VERY strange bug!
