Can confirm this is still an issue. Even when I use the command /Summon goat ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ born_screamer it does not summon a screaming goat.
Currently axes remove oxidation and can reactivate copper golems. Copper golems under lightning rods (which can only be placed by players) do remove oxidation from the statue but do not reactivate the copper golem. If the devs intended one oxidation mechanic to reactivate and the other (lightning) not to reactivate then I appreciate the clarification.

Yes I can confirm that lightning removes oxidation from copper golem statues in the most recent beta. This bug has been fixed.
Does resolved mean that statue oxidation is now modified by lightning strike?
Could this request be changed to “copper golem indirectly harmed by lightning bolt strike” ?
The video above uses the command “/execute at @e[type=copper_golem] run summon lighning_bolt “. You can see that alfter two lightning bolt impacts the copper golem has taken enough damage to be killed.

I have also bred hundreds of goats without a single screaming goat.
