This bug is going to have a lot of impact with the new cartographer changes coming in 1.20.40

This just happened to me in 1.20.12 (on a realm, PC client). I threw an ender pearl into an end portal gateway and immediately died. I restored the realm from a backup and tried again, and this time traveled to the outer islands as expected.

Affects 1.20.20 (on a realm, played from Xbox)

Still happening in 1.19.83 on Xbox Series X on a realm. Relogging resolves the issue.

Removing the maps from your inventory does not fix the problem. As already explained in the comments, even destroying every copy of a map doesn't get the file size to go back down.

1.19.20.22 beta patch notes: "Fixed a bug that could cause Witches to stop spawning. The Witch Hut structure is now set as a surface spawner for Witches"

Affects 1.18.12. Seems like the fix would be trivial to make based on the comments above. I realize there are many bugs, but there should be a better way to streamline the fixes for something so straightforward.

I have endermen in a mob zoo that uses glass and slabs to stop them from teleporting away, so this bug breaks that build. It was established through several prior versions that endermen wouldn't teleport onto glass.

Affects 1.18.12. Reproduced by attempting to place the lava in a slab, causing the lava to be lost and leaving an empty bucket behind. As Silentwhisperer said, it was necessary to aim for a solid block next to the slab. Honestly I find this useful to dispose of unwanted lava buckets, but I can also imagine this being very frustrating if it happens by accident.

Works as intended, from my perspective. Note that trident killers frequently rely on waterlogged pistons to give impaling damage. I'd suggest caution before making a change that would break trident killer designs

Affects 1.18.12. This was tested with about 20 sheep that has been previously sheared. With looting 3 they dropped mutton as expected but zero wool, even though they all had regrown their wool after shearing.

I just had this happen in 1.18.12. I had a brand new librarian (never had been traded with) and then in a short time period I traded with him several times then moved his workstation. He kept his experience (was level 4) but rolled all different trades. Instead of offering Sharpness V books, the villager changed to offering undesirable low level enchantments. My experience has been that a villager that pairs to a workstation for the first time needs to stay paired for a while (possibly until the next work period?), otherwise their trades and profession don't stay locked and can change if they lose their workstation pairing during that period.

Seems likely that the underlying mechanic would also affect moss farms since they constantly generate and move blocks

@Cries can you be sure that the villager wasn't killed somehow and the replaced by a new baby villager that grew up in his place?

@Cries, did the changed villager still have experience? Also, was their workstation moved? This was the behavior I observed, so that the villager was locked into the new profession?

Affects 1.18.10 including newly created villagers and preexisting villagers
