That would be seriously illogical if @a doesn't work in chat commands intentionally. You need to be an OP to use this command. If you're an op, you have the power to do much, much worse things than spawning everyone a block of stone or whatever. If this is intentional, they might as well remove ALL commands, and do away with OP's altogether since they can obviously abuse pretty much any command.
Way to go Mojang.... Hopefully they make 65536 be equal to a range of 1 block.... or let r=0(or .5) be 1 range.
I would prefer they fix other major bugs, such as the invisibility bug where monsters still see you when you are invisible.
This makes sense, because when they doubled the world height, they would need to divide the nether's height by 2 to compensate for the extra range in the overworld.
I found that staying at height 200 for an extended amount of time (>10 minutes) may produce warnings

Yeah i'm pretty sure over half the mods here don't bother reading anything past the title, and simply close the issue with a condescending remark. I think they get paid per issue they close, so they simply do not have time to help the average player.
Anyways, this is actually technically not a bug because it works the way it is intended. With range 1, it senses blocks that are 1 away from the center block, making it a 3x3x3 globe. With the way the code is, putting the range as 0 makes it sense nothing. Not sure why a range of 0 isn't allowed, kind of dumb in my opinion, but that's just the way it is.

I think that the 3 seconds of invulnerability needs to be kept, except for fall damage. Or have a very large invisible health shield upon login, which would only be ignored by fall damage.
Yep still broken in 1.7.4. The only mobs that don't see you are spiders. This is a pretty easy fix, I hope Mojang sees this.

Okay, but I don't see why I would need more memory all of a sudden. I can't even play with more than 2 players. When it last crashed, it was stuck showing the 3 players that were on last. But when I shutdown the server I get this message:

Even though half of those players weren't even online. Could this mean that somehow the server still registers the players and clones of players as online and thus renders the world as if everyone and their clones were in the world?
It's quite clear you don't understand, or even read the report. It was working fine before 1.7. Which is why I believe there could be a problem with the 1.7 update. Also, 512mb is sufficient as it crashes even when there only are two players. If you've read the wiki yourself then you can see that it clearly says 512mb is perfectly acceptable for 6-10 players.
