Can definitely confirm this for 1.18 pre-1. Picture added
Still an issue in 1.12.2 (single player, if it matters). Seems to happen more when wielding a shield.
Still fine for me. Strange.
Can confirm that this issue no longer seems present after several days of testing in 1.8.1 prerelease 3. Yay!
This is also true when holding a steak. It's as if they're expecting to be fed.
I guess. Sorry for getting pissy about it.
Works as intended? You're having a laugh?
I was playing the latest snapshot (14w08a) earlier and I had this happen to me. The normal background music was playing, and I expected it to stop when I put "Cat" into my Jukebox. This was in survival, if it makes any difference. I turned my music slider to Off, which worked just fine.
We are using 14w07a on our server, this has become more of a problem recently. It often causes a server-wide crash, which requires a complete restart. A few snapshots ago, this was really only affecting me, as I had a poorer connection; but now it has become an issue for all players.
Confirmed to still be an issue in snapshot version 14w07a. I've replicated this in SMP as well as SSP with Zombie Pigmen.
Got attacked through an iron door by a Zombie Pigman earlier using snapshot version 14w07a.
Can confirm this issue in 14w07a.
Came across this issue in 14w07a today.
Confirmed in 14w07a.
I don't have an issue with them spawning, there seems to be vast amounts of Blazes, Magma Cubes, and Wither Skeletons; the issue is that Wither Skeletons despawn too quickly. Also it's as if you have to be stood within around 8 blocks for them to see you, where as Blazes seem to have Zombie-like tracking AI now. Oh, and I keep seeing regular Zombies in Fortresses, separate issue I know; still very odd.
Still an issue in 14w07a.
Creating an unintentional X-ray with this, found a spawner by accident. Still happening in 14w07a
We want it too show us the level of light at our feet in the debug, don't we? We need to know if it's dark enough for hostile mobs to spawn!
This is still an issue in 1.7.4 and the 1.8 snapshots. Can easily be replicated by spending a night or two inside a village.
Can confirm the issue is still present in 1.18rc-3. Picture provided.
