This issue can be fixed easily, I did it once for a MC mod myself, don't know why developers are not interested in this. It adds much value to the game if the different biomes also show up differently on a map. Please Mojang? 🙂
I don't agree with you here, since that's a natural trade-off. There is a flaw in your logic. Mules/donkeys are used for transporting goods, ofc they are not that fast, a horse is fast, but cannot carry that much weight (or would be slower then). Try lifting some weights and running at the same time, you will learn what I mean. 😛
I actually like having a slow donkey with goods. It's more chilling.
Not a bug by the way.
The problem is the water source that is not always surrounded by other blocks/dirt, so it can flow away. Usually it doesn't flow when creating a new world for some reason, which for itself is a bug.
I can confirm this lag and having to mine blocks again after I already mined them. Singleplayer, MC 19w04a
Hey Hawk J, I don't think you have the right to say what is peanuts or not to others. I play this game since early beta (with breaks ofc), but this is the most annoying thing that ever happened, and yes I think it's unplayable. Also I don't understand why you are trying to defend those kind of bugs in development snapshots. I understand that new things could break features and create bugs that have to get found throughout playing. But this kind of thing (along with the arrows stuck in mid-air for example) clearly show how the development of MC is done in a very uneffective way when it comes to bugtesting before releases. You would find this bug with only five minutes of gameplay.
I am also very disappointed by the workflow of this game at the moment. Every last snapshot had a tiny amount of content and 10 new bugs with it, sometimes major ones, where you really have to ask yourself if people test this before release, that's what I mean by workflow. I think it's okay to criticise the developers sometimes. I hope they don't take it personally, but they sometimes just don't do a great job. This one bug is so major that the fun I usually have with MC is going to 0.
I added some more pictures of mobs not following anymore if they reach bamboo.
Please try fullscreen AND vsync at the same time, if not already tested. 🙂 This line usually means that your monitor is getting information from your graphics card before it completes a full frame (picture) and therefore part of the picture is from the next rendered frame. So if you turn to the left or right this line should be more visible. It should not be visible when you don't move, or is it?
@Lisanne, maybe you could try playing in fullscreen mode.
I cannot confirm this report. I just used my fishing rod with Lure III + Luck of the Sea II and the first enchanted book I catched was Smite III + Mending. It took me around 3min, I'm sorry Paul. (MC 19w03c)
Please re-open this, it's not an issue of mobs not moving like the link to a duplicate.
See images attached, all mobs generally move. I made sure they see me and just got around the corner, but they don't go around it (they are not stuck, but choose a stupid path).
Panda, when sneaking the camera should move down, as it also does. Also how can this be difficult, it works in every other first person game without any problems. 😉
Baby chickens die when swimming in water in 19w03c, don't know if this is intended.
I can confirm this for 19w03b after converting a 19w03a world. Some torches in an explored cave didn't emit light. Removing and replacing them fixed the problem.
I can confirm Bruni's explanation.
I can confirm this for ocelots in the latest snapshot 19w03b. There are one adult and two kittens around me not worrying about running away.
I can confirm this, I traded with an armorer (tier 0), gave him all the coal and bought all of his iron helmets, both trade possibilities got locked, but he never unlocked the next tier. Nothing more to trade with him. 😞
Why is this already closed? Just go into a mineshaft, go to a typical crossing of shafts, let a zombie see you, run around the corner. He does not follow but stays inside the corner of the shaft you ran from.
I don't see how this is modern, I like nice loading screens and I am a technical person, but this gives no information or enjoyment to me as a player at all.
Can confirm this for 19w04b.
Hello violine1101, thank you for your reply, but not thanking you for removing a comment by your personal standards rather than some rules that apply here, which I have not found. Also you or another person just did it without any comment, which is just rude and antisocial.
I passively worked for this game since many years by providing bugreports, feedback for bugs, now with a new account, getting others to know about it, talking positively about most of my experiences, helped with some mod stuff. I think I was here when this bug got created.
I just think that it is a major excuse for a company like Mojang (owned by Microsoft) saying that this bug would just take a lot of time, therefore nobody is willing to do it. We already have 246 older comments (without every one of them being about an addition to the bug itself - still you just delete mine randomly), this bug is indeed 6 ⚠️ years old and there are 793 votes for this issue. Your newborn back then would already be in school now, other companies create whole emersive gaming experiences in that time.
Of course I can imagine that the codebase for MC is rather ... unique and heavy since it was not a super planned project since the beginning. But let's face it: MC is a well merchandised product since years, probably got a lot of money in, but maybe some of the developers are far too long into this game to even care anymore. Which I possibly could understand. That's why I think I could make a little pun, but obviously this is rather not wanted. Maybe because it was kind of... true?
Sincerely, a MC player
