My PC connects to my ububtu/docker Minecraft server just fine, but my daughter's switch will not. It receives the reported error message. Server/PC/Switch all running same version. Worked perfectly before this update

Hello, my son bought “Ultimate survival World” and this same issue described above is happening. It gets to the end of Step one download, gets to the full MB but doesn’t go further on to step 2. We tried another game and it went through completely fine there seems to be a problem with this Marketplace game. We tried all the same stuff people have stated but nothing worked.

Confirmed. This is also happening for me on Bedrock realms since 1.18.10. 

Prior to 1.18.10, gamerule would persist.

I have the same issue with the kindle.  Is there a way to reset the level and start the wild West again?

This issue is a cause with the client not being able to detect the server. The server appears to be broadcasting itself fine as the workaround only need be applied to clients connecting from other PCs. LAN connections worked fine in 1.16.5, but stopped working with 1.17.0.  Running windows 10 home.

The workaround I've found for this issue is to install OpenJDK 16 and set the client to use javaw.exe:

  1. open minecraft lanucher

  2. select Installations tab

  3. edit Latest Release

  4. expand More Options

  5. under Java Executable, click browse

  6. select javaw.exe, which is found at C:\java\jdk-16.0.1\bin\javaw.exe in my case

  7. save and launch

  8. select multiplayer

  9. lan server now shows in list

 

Im not using anything or could it be that im on an Multiplayer server?

I have the same issue.  It is everywhere that this happens.
