old computer, my e8400 one even crashed when install win10 and play mc 1.5.2
This information did not help me and I ask for help in this matter.
Heh, that's why I'll create resourcepack with Honey Bottle texture in old style to play using it
Bro, I feel sorry for you. I have the same problem as you. There is one solution that will help you get your things back after the fall.
You need to go back to the chunk in which you first appeared. Of course, things were not in that chunk, but I found them right next to him.
If this problem appears again, you can use my solution to the problem.

Workaround bug: https://youtu.be/0PJrqi8BxlE
For some reason, I didn't face this issue on 18w48a
tested on upgraded/new worlds.
after fallback to w18w47a/b - still can't stop the server.
OS: win7
Java:
java version "1.8.0_191"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_191-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.191-b12, mixed mode)
I think you should upload crash report.
maybe you are talking about incompatibility of some snapshots and java versions/video drivers/ etc? Again, I don't feel any lags in 18w47a... They will fix it. So just wait ;D
'very very few are this bad, nearly unplayable'. Well, not for everybody. This snapshot runs smoothly on my computer. I wasn't sure this was snapshot's problem or something else. I never experienced any lag on any snapshot (except for ones that was caused by my bad computer) tbh sooo.... I'm not sure ;P
Well, every snapshot is created for some purpose. If you are suffering from lags in snapshot – in main version it will be fixed. Though I can't understand why 18w47a is extremely laggy for you. I have even worse computer and I don't feel any lags... Actually this might be a disk problem if you are running world on your own computer.
i testing it with few variants, in all variants have a some problems
yes i using bungeecord spigot and vanilla(non modifed) .
and i using clients : vanilla , forge , liteloader, optifine and combined variants.
ex. errors crashing, not working resourcepack and Constant pop-up message about loading resourcepack
Non modifed client getiing crashed
java.lang.NullPointerException: Updating screen events

Forge and Spigot and my client not crashed )
Yes - the game automatically connects to the server at startup,
without going to the main menu,
with these client arguments --server --port, and does not load the serverpack.
When you log on to the server through the main menu, the saved server-side texture packs work fine.
Sorry, is a real dublicate of MC-226500
