Only way i found is to uninstall and reinstall game, unfortunately i think if you load another world and cause a new sync to cloud it will wipe it, but if you do it right away, every world that was last synced will show up.

i have the same problem

@Matt Yes, signed in and all is well so far.

Update:

I moved the whole com.mojang folder using the Files app on our iPad to a different location, and re-opened Minecraft. That started the app "fresh", which worked fine. I then copied the Worlds folder from the old com.mojang folder (overwriting the new Worlds folder), and Minecraft started working again.

I did this a few days ago, and so far so good. We'll see if the crashing comes back.

My son's iPad started doing this today, iPad OS 14.4.1. I immediately updated to iPad OS 14.4.2 and tried again, still broken. Rebooting the device doesn't help to help either.

Minecraft opens, the loading screen counts up, as soon as it gets to the main menu a message appears up top for a split second that says:

"Global Resources Reset
Resources Failed to load properly."

..and the app instantly crashes back to the iOS home screen. If it helps, his Minecraft app is 1.75GB, he has a lot of worlds he created. Here is a video of the behavior:

Help!

When others experience this, does the second player also lose the ability to interact with the world? I'm on xbox one local coop, and player 2 not only has lost their items and levels (and reset to the world spawn) but also cannot break blocks or open doors, press buttons etc...

Really needs a fix, we have been forced to completely stop playing Minecraft as a result of this bug

@GoldenHelmet

My new world has been working fine for several weeks now with no crashes as I have been regularly backing it up. Before I started this regular backing up of my worlds, crashed happened fairly frequently and I have lost 3 worlds already to this bug. It could be unrelated but seems to at least help reduce the frequency of the issue

I'm having this issue on xbox. It's happened with multiple worlds now. On each occurrence, the world file size seems to grow exponentially just before it fails. Regularly copying the file (before any issues) seems to reduce the file size to more normal sizes again for some reason

I'm also having this issue on Series X.

2 worlds have broken so far (1 old and 1 new) not sure if related but in both worlds I was doing some building / redstone near a zombie spawner. When I first found the spawner Minecraft started dropping frames and was very laggy. This eventually corrected itself but the crash happened not long afterwards and now I get the "There was a problem loading the world" message.

I also just encountered this problem. I was afking in the nether in the realm and was kicked for idling. when I tried to reconnect, I got the 429 error. Resetting internet connection didn't work, and duplicating the installation did not work either.

have this issue in 1.16.1 as well

Additional Notes:

We have reproduced this error twice a day since Tuesday June 23.

We attempted to create a new world while logged in to the Microsoft account and also while logged out, but the issue persisted.

We attempted to uninstall Minecraft and reinstall to correct the issue, but the issue persisted.

We cleared the PS4 cache to try and correct the issue, but the issue persisted.

We rebuilt the PS4 database to correct the issue, but but issue persisted.

Plz fix in next beta I want to experience 1.16 but with this bug I can’t

I also agree.  No response is pretty sad....  Wonder how many votes it takes for something to be noticed.

it doesn't rain in any of the three "hot" biomes (desert, savannah, badlands.)

Hopefully this gets fixed soon!  People have been reporting this problem for two weeks if not longer.

Same as everyone else commenting in here...  Turtles breed. Get pregnant...... Then nothing.......  I’ve spent numerous hours just trying to troubleshoot the problem. All I know is that in Bedrock it doesn’t work.  If I switch over to java they breed and lay eggs just fine. Ps4 player.

Thank you all for your dedication.
