I have since updated because I do not believe that it will be changed in time. I am also not willing to wait for more years. It is a pity that the Ancient Citys (or Mineshaft) are not generated under existing chunks. It's also strange that they set your ticket to Won't Fix without any reason.

This also affects the structure Mineshaft.

I hope this will be fixed before the release. I had skipped 1.18 especially for this purpose.

I tried it with another world (radius 2000 blocks). The structure is not generated there either.

The world is much too big for that. You can create a 1.17 world and pre-generate it.

Works again for me at the moment.

yes this should also be reproducible in vanilla

i use atm paper and we discuss this problem here https://github.com/PaperMC/Paper/issues/2414

i now mojang do not support paper, we just want to find out what's changed since 1.13 (the start of this issue)

if a player join, the grass will growth up

but if no player in loaded chunks sheeps can eat grass but it cannot grow back

maybe a problem with randomticks if no player in loaded chunks (like the spawnarea)

randomTickSpeed is on the default setting (3)

 

I don't know what seed I had (on the screen's).

But you can find this on "every" world if you search for a while.

in 1.13.1 a chest lost a half inventory if it stay between 2 chunks (after world convert from 1.12.2)

if a chest on the border from a chunk but inside, that worked now (it was a problem in 1.13.0)

so world convertation is not save in 1.13.1 and need to be fixed

Sometimes i cant stack named items. Its very buggy.
Its easy to reproduce:
split and stack some named items ... sometimes work sometimes dosent work

is the world version relevant? i have a 1.7.2 world and on this rain very often. a new world is no option
