Some redstone components can't receive a single redstone tick pulse

For exemple, observer blocks cannot power comparators and redstone torches.

Applies to:

  • Comparator

  • Redstone Torch

  • Hopper

  • Redstone Lamp (this one cannot be set off with a one tick gap)

The weird thing about this is that it doesn't affects some other 'redstone' stuff that are not such complicated as these, like doors, trapdoors and more.

Observer blocks create 2 tick (gameticks) pulses now. Comparators aren't powered by 2 tick pulses in general, ergo this is not a bug.

Not a bug, comparators has never been able to take 1 redstone tick pulses.

Does this problem still affect Minecraft 1.11?

Confirmed in 1.11.2. It may be WAI since torches also aren't powered by observers. However repeaters are, so it's hard to say.

Added a picture of a simple test-contraption
