The Bug:

Axolotls, endermen, and enchantment glint animations continue playing when the game is paused.

Steps to Reproduce:

Summon an enderman and stare that it so it becomes aggressive toward you.
Pause the game and look at the enderman closely.

Observed Behavior:

The said animations continues playing.

Expected Behavior:

The said animations would not continue playing.

Thats not a bug. if you have an enchanted item in your hand it will sparkle while paused. pausing isn't suppose to pause animations just movment.

I remember experiencing this from back in 1.8 when Enderman were first added (I was a new player back then). However, I cloned this as MC-5456 as people have said it occurs with all in-game animations. I will test it more throughly tommorow.

Summon an endermen, switch into survival mode, and begin looking in its direction.
Wait until it begins shaking and pause the game.
Look closely at the endermen and take note as to whether or not the animation of endermen shaking continues despite the game being paused.
Summon an axolotl on land.
Wait until it beings moving and pause the game.
Look closely at the axolotl and take note as to whether or not the animation of axolotls moving continues despite the game being paused.

Observed Behavior:

The animations of endermen shaking and axolotls moving continue despite the game being paused.

Expected Behavior:

The animations of endermen shaking and axolotls moving would not continue when the game is paused.

Already was confirmed in 21w11a, want to add that I have found this to impact walking, swimming, and breathing of frogs.
It also impacts the tongue animation, which causes a slight desync between the animation and when the target entity is pulled in.
