Torch's texture look strange

I was playing on a stylo6. The bug has happened to me 3 times only and is very rare. It mostly looks normals but the glitch happens at random

another instance of this in 1.16.210 from a mobile user.

I have the same issue as well, however it is constant.  I am Emulating a oneplus 5 on bluestacks

Have this same issue always on 1.16.210 in every world., Playing on Bluestack 4.270.0.1053 Google Pixel 2XL Running Nougat 32 bit.

Never switched to "education" mode, not using any texture packs

Have seen this on non-edu worlds both before and after 1.16.210

This seems to be two individual bugs, the whiter torch bug is a result of all textures being offset by 1 (the generated atlas texture is incorrect) and this occurs on any PC emulators and likely tegra devices. The other one is the weird shading bug on powervr.

It's odd because I haven't had this issue until updating to 1.16.210

The new texture offset bug in 1.16.210 is being tracked at MCPE-121068.

Affecting 1.16.230.56 likes oversimplified torch texture even non education edition.

If the torch texture bug in 1.16.230.56 is affecting multiple platforms then it should be reported on a new ticket.

And Redstone torch is sliced (vercitaly) and moved 3 pixels right.

@unknown It is not important to add out-dated versions to tickets. It is also not important to add every beta version if the bug occurs in the most recent release.

Also, please combine your comments by editing the first instead of adding separate comments one after the other. This reduces clutter and makes the ticket easier to read through.

Its possible this bug only can be in Amazon appstotore? In Google play my tablet and my old phone don't have this bug. And in my HUAWEI phone i have the bugged textures.

Same thing happened with me on my HUAWEI as well.

To be exact, I'm using: HUAWEI Mediapad T8. I encountered this on version 1.17.10

This also happens to me on 1.17.40 and beta 1.18.0.23 and also other versions before that, I am playing on a Samsung Galaxy A12 and this also happens on my Tablet and on Windows 10 (Nvm not in Windows 10)

This bug also affect redstone torchs

This is occurring in 1.18.0.27, however this doesn't always trigger. (even on the same device)

If I get close enough to the torch the normal texture shows under the bugged texture.

I think it's fixed in beta 1.18.10.22 or maybe it's just in my phone idk for others.

This is what I've found out a few days ago about the issue. The texture seems like it's experiencing Z-fighting, a common issue in some textures in the game. I know this might be out of topic but Z-fighting also affects the "chins" of cats. In the texture file for the torch, there is nothing weird. It might be the game's problem at rendering or might be an issue between different renderers in phones and/or other devices. But when beta 1.17.40.20 was released a few months ago, the torch bug was gone. It was likely due to the render dragon render engine which was implemented in that beta but got removed after that beta, which is beta 1.17.40.21. The torch problem is gone again in beta 1.18.10.22 which implemented render dragon for the 2nd time in Android devices, this time for all types of architectures. So it's likely that it's a rendering issue than a problem in the game itself.

Interestingly, the fix didn't make it through all the 1.18.10 betas, but it did make it to 1.18.20.21 and 1.18.20.23
