when moving arround it tends to look down from time to time.
I think it happens when I press "go" arrow while turning direction.
more often when fps drops.
It didnt happen in 17.0.1 and 17.0.2

I have a similar issue on my DROID Turbo 2 with 6.0.1 on 1.0.0.0. My Nexus 7 2013 had this issue in 0.14. It doesn't happen only when it lags on my DROID Turbo 2
I can confirm that this is an issue on my Samsung TabPro SM-T520 on Android 4.4.2.
I've noticed it since 1.0.0.0
Typically, it will happen when I am tapping the screen quickly, either to attack or to place blocks, and moving at the same time. (Perhaps it registers the left hand touch input as a camera direction change rather than a movement change)

Roughly the same issue. Doesn't happen with lag. Its mostly just out of the blue when it happens. Happened in my YouTube video the other day. Was walking forward or trying to and it spun me around. Note 4 on 6.0.1 mcpe v. 1.0.0.0

Seems slightly worse in 1.0.0.2 and 1.0.0.7 - The camera seems jerky when moving at all at times, as well as moving down.

Ive had this problem a lot lately i think it has to do with either DPad (size), Sensitivity, or the game picking up the users thumb and registering it (probably as a mistake from lag or something...) as movement from where the previous thumb was and jerking the camera around in a quick motion (last one was a bit specific...) Samsung S7(Regular) Android 6.0.1

I can confirm this for the final release of 1.0.0, on iOS 10.2. It happens randomly for me, lag doesn't seem to be a factor.

Here too. View randomly snaps to look straight down and seems to turn the player as well. Disorienting--when you look back up, it takes a moment to figure out where you were facing. If mining a block with a pick axe when it snaps, it will switch and mine/destroy the block you end up facing instead. IOS 10.2, 1.0.0 final.

Weird bug,not happen on my tablet but my phone even no lagging.I realise the original dpad very small and dpad on screen is fake.I can issue this as only dpad graphic rescale but data input dpad unscale.

I can see the circle outline that appears when a block is touched when this happens so I believe the on screen hit box for the movement arrows isn't intercepting some touches and letting the blocks beneath the movement arrows intercept the touch instead.

Reproduce:
1.Take your finger and hold at air blocks.Stay away from nearby blocks and look at sky
2.Take another finger and hold forward button.Remember, when you hold the button half on your finger that hold dpad and half on screen.Example, take your left finger and hold the dpad forward, make sure on finger touch dpad and the screen (outside the button).
3.you got it.

Happens alot for me on my windows 10 laptop also to my son and wife on their andriod tablets.
I don't believe it has anything to do with lag.
My view always snaps to excatly the same place 90 degrees left and stright down, happens in both creative and survival.

Same thing happens on my Samsung Galaxy S6. MCPE v1.0.0
It will happen with or without lag. Lag is a major issue as well now almost all the time.

It also happens to me randomly for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V (SM-T116NU), but seems to happen more often when I tap the screen rapidly while attacking mobs while moving, or when trying to turn the camera sideways while moving.

I've had a bit of success by doing the following:
Downloading Game Tuner from the Google Play. It's a Samsung app, free. Use this to reduce all graphics related things to the lowest setting except leave frame rate at 60
For some reason leaving Fancy Graphics on worked better than off, but exerting else is lowest, including no beautiful skies 😞 , lowest render distance, and I think that may be it.
Otherwise I've downloaded some things to clean junk off the phone, but I'm not sure how much that helped.
With these actions above I still have the issue, but it's probably about a third as frequent now.

if no one figured it out yet the game basically thinks you're trying to move the camera instead of trying to move the character

Vegito,
That doesn't provide a solution to the problem.

Have the same issue - when trying to move forward using arrows on the D-Pad i end up rotated 90 or 180 degrees looking down.
Happens randomly, sometimes 3 times in 5 seconds, sometimes does not happen for 10 minutes.
Not related to lagging. Actually hard to tell if related to anything.

This bug happens with all devices that has Minecraft PE 1.0.0. I think that the MCPE developers made the game more sensitive with you touch or maybe it is only a glitch. That is only my theory. I call this as PvP ruiner. Many of the players have reported this bug. This will also happen with very fast devices.

There is a bug similar to this in 1.0.2 that is basically this but only moves the screen a little and you have to turn the sensitivity above 55

Well the quick jolt does not happen anymore but i am still having problems that seem to be related to this. The d-pad or the area around them, such as right under d-pad down at random times will actually register me as clicking there as if the d-pad was not on the screen making me place random block or break
