Summary:
In 26.40.26 Preview, changes made to a world's Resource Packs or Behavior Packs are not saved correctly.
When adding a pack to a world, pressing the Back button causes the pack to be removed. The change is only saved if the player presses Play or modifies another world setting, causing the "Do you want to save your changes?" prompt to appear.
When removing a pack from a world, pressing either Back or Play causes the pack to be re-added. The only way to save the removal is to modify a world setting and then trigger the "Do you want to save your changes?" prompt.
This issue is specific to the Preview and does not occur in 26.30 Stable.
Steps to Reproduce:
Adding a Pack
Launch Minecraft Preview.
Create a new world.
Exit the world and open its settings.
Navigate to the Resource Packs or Behavior Packs tab.
Activate a pack.
Press the Back button.
Reopen the world's settings and check the Resource Packs or Behavior Packs tab.
Removing a Pack
Launch Minecraft Preview.
Create a new world and activate a Resource Pack or Behavior Pack.
Exit the world and open its settings.
Navigate to the Resource Packs or Behavior Packs tab.
Deactivate the pack.
Press Play or Back.
If the Back button was used, reopen the world's settings and check the Resource Packs or Behavior Packs tab.
Observed Results:
When adding a pack, pressing Back causes the pack to be deactivated and the change is not saved.
When removing a pack, pressing Back or Play causes the pack to be reactivated. The removal is only saved if another world setting is changed and the "Do you want to save your changes?" prompt is triggered.
Expected Results:
Adding or removing Resource Packs and Behavior Packs should be saved properly when leaving the pack management screen, regardless of whether the player presses Back or Play, matching the behavior in 26.30 Stable.

Hello, I would like to report that this issue is also now present within the 26.42 stable version of the game. I was just about to open a ticket because of this, but it seems like someone has made a report already. Please fix this, I cannot remove my packs until this issue gets solved.
This issue is fixed in the 26.50 Preview versions, so the fix should be included in the full 26.50 stable release.
Also, as noted in the description, it is possible to remove the pack. After removing the pack, modify any world setting and then exit the Edit World screen. You will be prompted to save or discard your changes. Select Save, and the pack will remain removed.

This also is affecting now the full release version 26.44 I am having the same exact issue on that version it is not saving at all now I can’t even have that prompt. Do you want to save your changes to appear it refuses to save the changes I make to the world, especially with a texture pack I cannot disable a texture pack in the full release 26.44
This still hasn't been fixed in the latest version. Can any mod at least confirm that this issue has been reported?
