Ridden mob does not move in sync with player

When a user looks around while on a horse, it takes more time for the horse to turn than the player, resulting in slower turns.

The video shows evidence of this and it can be easily reproduced. Just tame a horse and use a saddle with it.

Notes: Affects all mounts, it's even more noticeable on pigs and striders.

Noticed it in the Nether Update.

This affects all rideable mobs including custom ones. For custom vehicles especially this can make them difficult to control precisely because of the generally higher speeds. It's also possible to complete a full turn before the mob even starts rotating
