If I approach the same area, almost every time a different eerie noise plays. I can literally just run back and fourth and play it repeatedly. I play Java as well, so I know this isn't working properly on Bedrock

I can confirm this. It should be playing just not as frequent as it is currently.

This likely relates to MCPE-69619 (which involves the cave sounds playing regularly in other dimensions)

having the same issue on windows 10. the sounds continuously play one after the other any time i'm in or near any dark area and it's really anxiety inducing lol 😖

Features of the new version

The only way is to either light up everything or download a resource pack I found I forgot the video. Because the only factor that determines if they play is the light, while java has a ten minute cool down and won’t play in other dimensions. This is high priority and must be fixed or people will stop playing bedrock edition as I actually am mainly a java player.

Cave ambience appear to have been fixed now as of the most recent update. I no longer hear them every couple of seconds.

This issue hasn't been fixed at all for the 1.16.0.64 Beta and even some eerie sounds will play while not in a cave, not sure how they determine if the player is inside a cave or just above one; it might be hard to say.
Yeah cave sounds play every couple of seconds. Cave sounds should be somewhat uncommon to hear just like in Java Edition.
