I have not been able to download Marketplace worlds or texture packs I have paid for for over 2 months now because of this bug. This is ridiculous. This issue has existed since 2019 and nothing has been done about it. Game breaking bugs that have existed for literal years such as this and the notorious Pink Glitch have recently motivated me to go back to Java Edition. I cannot stand playing Bedrock anymore.

Ohh okay. That would make sense if that is the case. I'll wait 2 - 3 weeks and if I still have access to realms content without an active subscription I will update you here in the comments.

The new Sonic DLC skins are badly affected by this bug.

I am using the "Sonic the Werehog" skin on a realm server and none of my friends sees the skin. I appear as a Steve to them. Only I can see the skin. This applies to all of the other Sonic DLC skins as well.

I also tried joining public realms to ask other people if they can see any of the Sonic DLC skins I use and everyone I asked just said I appear as a Steve to them.

This seems to happen on Mineplex only. Other featured servers flat out block all of the Sonic skins. I think this is down to Mineplex to fix if they want the sonic skins to work on their servers.

On realms the Sonic skins appear normally, at least for me.

I found a solution which worked for me. First you must install the beta version of Minecraft. Once you're playing the beta there should be an option for you to claim the cape for your account once again for free. Here's a quick video demonstrating this:

After you've claimed the cape you can uninstall Minecraft Beta and reinstall the current live version of the game and still have the cape.

That skin was a reward for signing up for Minecraft Earth beta. People who signed up received a code through email that you could then redeem to get the skin. It's supposed to be a limited time skin and no longer obtainable.

The Minecon 2015 skin pack costs just as much as well which features every Minecon cape except for the 2016 Enderman cape.

Well it worked for me and others.

Whenever it is stuck loading I am still able to join featured servers by adding them manually. When I posted exactly what I said on Reddit people have thanked me for helping them resolve this issue by following the steps I showed above.

You can work around this quite easily. Below the featured servers list you can click "Add Server" and type in the IP address of a featured server you wish to join.

Here's the IP addresses for every featured server:

The Hive - geo.hivebedrock.network

Mineplex - pe.mineplex.com

CubeCraft - mco.cubecraft.net

Mineville - play.inpvp.net

Galaxite - play.galaxite.net

Lifeboat - play.lbsg.net

Once you've manually added a featured server you should still be able to join the server if this problem happens again to you.

I don't think every platform is able to do this however.

It happens very frequently on The Hive server. I don't see this much on any other server but it happens.

It is frustrating to see that this very common game breaking bug still exists after 6 months of someone reporting it. The only permanent fix for this right now as we continue to wait another 6 months, is to roll back to a previous update before this was an issue. I believe you can only go back to a previous update on Windows 10 though. But rolling back to a past update requires a bit of hassle.

I think version 1.16.100 was the last update which doesn't include this bug.

Yeah my CPU could handle 24 chunk render distance just fine but now I experience constant stuttering with 100% CPU usage. Even in some Marketplace worlds where chunks have already been generated by the map makers.

Funny how Bedrock is made to work on phones or other low powered devices yet the performance has been horrific as of recent, even on powerful PCs.

This is intended. This has always been like this since cave sounds were introduced back in Minecraft Java alpha.

Happens to me a lot.

It also resets my emotes which makes this bug even more infuriating.

Please fix this ASAP Mojang and don't take months.

This bug ruins the texture packs I recently purchased.

I thought this was just an issue on Mineplex but I guess not.

Very strange bug. I hope it gets fixed next update.

@IconicEcko Yeah I am fairly sure it's fixed for everyone now. They've added an elytra texture last night or today i believe to fix this issue.

My pancape is back on my account now! Check if it's back for you too.

EDIT: They've added an elytra texture to it too! Nice! I guess it was necessary for them to temporarily remove the pancape from accounts so they could add the elytra texture.

Perhaps it was not meant to be usable by players? I did hear it was meant to be a placeholder for testing capes or something.

This bug could give you a serious advantage in PvP in certain situations.

Cave ambience appear to have been fixed now as of the most recent update. I no longer hear them every couple of seconds.

Yeah cave sounds play every couple of seconds. Cave sounds should be somewhat uncommon to hear just like in Java Edition.
