The soul fire torch model appears to be incorrect.
What I expected to happen was...:
The soul torch should be the same model as a torch with blue flame.
What actually happened was...:
The 4 "walls" of the torch seem too long or off centered, causing it to protrude at each corner.
Steps to Reproduce:
Place a torch and soul torch on either a flat surface or wall
Observe the corners of the torch

In addition to the protruding edges of each wall (or perhaps the underlying cause), the soul torch uses a different render method from the normal torch, causing it to be affected by MCPE-102808 and MCPE-124841. It should use the opaque render method just apply the opaque part of the texture to the block model, instead of applying a pixel of the transparency layer around each side of the block.

This also affects the stick of Redstone Torches; obviously the top “flare” of the Redstone Torch is intended, but the stick shouldn’t be. This also applies to all of the colored/dyed torches behind the Education toggle. I figured they would all be related to this bug and I propose they could be added to this ticket’s summary and description.

Still an issue in 1.19.51

Fixed with MCPE-102808.
Correction, looks like it’s just not reproducible on iOS.

Still present in Preview 1.20.70.21.

Confirmed in 1.21.44
