But this has side effects with the enchantments that reduce the damage instead of increasing. It would be better to have a effect to control crit damage as well if this is intentional. 

I have faced same issue and if you crit using that weapon it does the crit damage as well. I have attached by enchantment file here as it is little different.

Can confirm in 1.19.2

Started occurring in new realm, less than a week ago. Since then dozens of mobs have permanently despawned.  It seems to occur each time I log back on to the realm and find more mobs are gone.  Extremely problematic for game play...

Still broken, just found, as in today 5 Aug 21, treasure chest using map for the second time and achievement still did not pop!  Needs a fix now, it has been long enough.

System - XBOX, using latest Minecraft version 1.17.1004.70 Bedrock

K. Okada this begs the question, are captains supposed to respawn at outposts or are the probabilities very high for them to spawn.  I don't know myself but I'm asking, because others have noted that captains don't seem to spawn in like one would expect.

Follow on question, does this close this ticket out or does it remain open due to this question/issue?

Auldrick - update - I just ran in to a patrol who immediately started moving off and away from me.  I was not close by when they spawned in but neither was I too far, I'd say about 20 to 30 blocks away.

So, maybe you are correct about why they seem to stay in place at times...

I think this one can be marked as resolved with 1.13

I am now seeing patrols much more frequently in various areas at various times.

One thing to note though, when they spawn in they don't appear to get moving.  They stay almost frozen until my character gets closer and you have to get very close before they will engage in a hostile manner.  It's not so much that I mind this behavior, as 1 v 1 can be tougher as they are not like taking on multiple zombies or regular night time mobs.  However, I have to wonder if there is a flaw in the mechanics that let them stay in place until they are acted upon, as I thought they were supposed to be a "wondering patrol."

Interesting development (for me anyway)...

In the middle of game play I was engaging with multiple mobs in the middle of the night (light level very low) to include an Enderman, and low & behold in marches (or spawns) an illager patrol captain and all (about 2 or 3 crossbowmen).  Unfortunately, there were way too many mobs to take on single handedly, I was not prepared for such a fight at the time.  One crossbowman engaged me very aggressively, but the others did not, so after I eliminated him and several other more immediate threats, when I went to engage the other patrol members and captain they had despawned (was less than 2 minutes after they first appeared); while the light level was virtually unchanged.  So, it appears, that this bug is very much light related, but also there must be other factors involved if they despawn so quickly after engaging with them directly.

For the record this is the first and only patrol I've seen since the one and only I encountered right after the village & pillage update was made.

Using XBox One X with the 1.12 Bedrock version, game is Survival set on Normal

B) Does that now include the captains spawning at the outposts too?

Even though you say 1.13.0.9 is the version fixed, will this be fixed when 1.13 is released or with an update to 1.13?

Now, what about the solution to this problem?  From what it looks like 1.13 will not address this problem (read the pre-release notes), so much for the Village & Pillage update...it needs to be reworded to the "Village Update"

Still no change from my initial input

Same world, normal difficulty, having logged dozens of in game days possibly hundreds of days since the initial update that was supposed to bring in the pillagers I have only seen 1 (uno) patrol ever.  Absolutely NONE have spawned since then, zero, zip, nada.  I believe the reports here have more than indicated this and it has nothing to do with new worlds not waiting the requisite 5 in game days.  While I will grant you the benefit of the doubt as to wanting to find an answer, you might want to read all the reports before implying such a thing first.  1.12 is broke, for whatever reason it is all village no pillage...now 1.13 might have fixed this but it sounds like even that is in question as there are reports that Captains are not spawning with he patrols they are seeing, time will tell. 

A. Nelson, your posts and edit are confusing?  So definitely NOT fixed now or partially fixed i.e. illagers are spawning but no Captains or none at all now or some other variations on the issue?

Not sure about this bug tracking system, and I realize they have a lot of bugs to work on.  However, this is related to a major update where as one of the biggest features of that update is this issue.  However, as others have noted, even the beta versions are still not addressing this problem, and while this bug has been "confirmed" I notice that there is still no one assigned to fixing it.  Please enlighten me, how long can this go on, considering it's a major update bug that virtually renders the village & pillage update half functional???
