Can anyone confirm?
Should be reopened, see two previous comments.
Incorrectly marked as duplicate; ticket was originally about black items when thrown, not bright block drops.
Also, this issue was not caused by the fix of MC-76493. This has been in the game before that.
Works as intended, see this comment by @unknown.
Edit: Didn't see that Mojang considered fixing this judging by that they didn't resolve this as WAI, which contradicts the comment I linked. In that case, MC-92484 should be reopened and be linked as relating to this bug. Maybe this report should clarify in the title that mob entities are affected while MC-92484 is about placeable non-mob entities like item frames.
Still an issue in February 18, 2020
Affects 1.15-pre4.
I may add this suggestion as well if fixing: No matter which item you hold in, the hand animation should show when throwing away anything from the player. For example, if you hold a stone block and throw away an apple from the inventory it should maybe show the animation. The reason for this is just that it seems logical.

Somewhat related to MC-160995. If that gets fixed this might too, but we'll see.
The expected behavior from my point of view is that a jukebox containing a disc that gets broken drops the disc like chests drop items, from the middle of the block rather than the top with upwards motion. If you think of it as if it was real life, the disc is in the middle of the jukebox when playing the disc, and if you would break the jukebox the disc shouldn't realistically shoot up into the air.
Jukeboxes I assume have been programmed to drop discs upwards when right clicking them so they look like they come out of the disc tray texture at the top of the jukebox and also so the discs easily can be collected.
However, this function seems to also be used when breaking the jukebox, rather than dropping it in a normal fashion, which to me doesn't seem intended. That in itself may not be a big deal, but one problem that can occur is mentioned in the description and can be seen in the video (

Mojang should decide if this is working as intended in my opinion. See my comment in MC-77079.
Mojang should decide if this is intended or not in my opinion. Just because falling blocks normally break on transparent blocks doesn't mean Mojang wants or intends to have these kind of transparent blocks work this way. I think we should let it be open until Mojang decides for themselves.
