According to a Mojang employee and the official Minecraft website it isn’t intended.

While this was marked as confirmed, I believe this is working as intended and not a bug.
Look at the attached image: randomly rotating the top and bottom of mangrove leaves completely messes up the texture next to other mangrove leaves compared to vanilla.
Hello [MCQA] jKakub,
Thank you for reviewing my bug report. I must inform you that it was incorrectly closed as a duplicate.
In this case, the add-ons included the required product_type metadata with the value addon in their manifest.json at the time they were added to the Realm world, which matches the solution proposed in the other bug report. However, this issue affects Realms exclusively; local worlds retain achievements when adding the exact same add-ons.
I therefore kindly request that you reopen this bug report. If you require any additional information to resolve the problem, please let me know.
Hello @jKabub
Trident killers are still a thing and a viable alternative. Also, tipped arrows are easy and inexpensive to craft thanks to the cauldron behavior on MCBE which allows for dispenser as an alternative. The “bug” you describe is actually a fix for an existing bug. Farms shouldn’t rely on obvious bugs, as it is clear that they will be fixed someday. I strongly urge Mojang to keep the fix for this particular bug, as it does not fit the game’s nature for errors to persist after hitting an entity.
This report belongs on the Minecraft Feedback site as it works as intended and does not describe an actual bug.
Affects 26.20
Still occurs with the latest format version: 1.16.20
Everyone commenting about unofficial methods of playing the game, please stay silent. Mojang Studios does not support playing the game through unofficial means, and bugs that occur in that context are irrelevant to them. But since the bug is affecting actual Android players on devices with the x86_64 architecture, they will be fixing it. Commenting about your issues on unofficial launchers, unsupported platforms, etc., will at worst case this bug to be even more unprioritized.
*and repeat step one.
Here is an add-on that contains an item with the mentioned component. The item is wearable as boots and absorbs fall damage. To test it, first teleport the player a couple of times into the air using:
/tp @s ~~30~
Then take the item and enchant it with Unbreaking 3 using the command:
/enchant @s unbreaking 3
@[MCQA] EmA There are multiple Android devices out there, that are affected by this x86_64 arch specific bug.
This is not a bug exclusive to emulator or similar software, but rather a bug that affects all devices that rely on the x86_64 variant of Minecraft for Android.
Updated the add-on to 26.50 with some adjustments.
