I've been typing lots of scoreboard and execute commands, one that I tried and got pounds pretty consistently on was /scoreboard players operation @e[name=insertnamehere] = @e[name=insertsecondname] scorename, with both entities having one count and both being armor stands.

The same is happening for me but mostly from what I’ve personally noticed it’s happening with my /fill or /setblock command block commands. I’m hoping this issue is resolved very soon as it’s interfering with my realm server.

I have this issues tonight on PC Windows 10 Edition. I was making a command for /testforblocks and it turned all characters to ###### signs. It didn't matter if it was an impulse, chain, or repeating block.
But my command worked for /msg @a Hello. That command stayed in the command block.
Also, after more testing, the issue is only happening on my realm. All of my regular worlds have no issue, it is only on the realms.

EXACT SAME THING IS HAPPENING TO ME. I'm trying to /fill via command blocks and it responds in "#"
That i know of this has only happened on a REALM over the last 3 days for me
I beg this gets fixed soon.

Little update and possible work around.
Opened world with "broken" command block in MCC Toolchest
Edited command block to have correct command
Saved world
Opened world in 1.16.100
Command block worked correctly
Right clicked on block, textboxes looked fine
Closed command block
Command block now is corrupted

The bug appears to corrupt the command usually when the player inputs a target selector such as @a or @p. Here is the command of one of my command blocks that recently got corrupted out of the blue.
/scoreboard players test @e[type=armor_stand,name=anvil_gametime] anvil_gametime 0 15
The command gets corrupted once I leave the 'e' in the '@e' part. Other selectors such as @a and @p work just fine, but I cannot use them for what I am trying to create. I would appreciate it if this bug was taken action upon soon, since I have to get things done urgently on my realm and they all require tons of command blocks.

Can confirm this is happening to me too on my realm. Commands like tp and clone are just going to hashtags. Command blocks already made and working in the world prior to the bug work fine unless altered in anyway. This includes just switching the mode of the command block will cause it to go to hashtags. I hope this gets fixed soon because I payed for a realm because I am a map maker. I can't update my map, command block wise, until this gets fixed.

This has happened to me on 2 separate occasions, both on realms, one vanilla, one with add ons. On the vanilla realm, after over 5 hours it was fixed, I’m not sure how, but it came back later that day. They are both still bugging. This needs to be urgently fixed. I’ve heard many people in the bedrock command community complaining about this. I’m the command person for my friends realm and right now we can’t finish the Kit PvP because of this bug.

have the same issue on realms ps4. was for teleporting between main base and command room. temp workaround was have a named parrot called watcher teleporting to the coordinates constantly and for me to return home i teleported closest player to @e[name=Watcher]. have a ticking area running just to be safe.
it is definitly the command blocks are failing to target certain coordinates. for me it is currently -799 to 799 on the xcoordinate that is failing.
i think that what happens is when you put a valid command(like @p, @a etc) in it tries to process what is being asked of it, but something within that x coordinate(for me it is x) returns bogus data, and when it attempts to target, the bogus data causes the targeting to fail, resulting in it catching the error and throwing back a pre-determined response, in this case hashing the whole text input. the reason it probably needs the @a/p first is that it probably checks whether the command structure is correct first before going through the command itself.

This happens to me only on my realm but it works in a normal world for me when I'm trying to do "testforblocks ~ ~-1 ~ ~-1 ~ x y z" on the realm it shows all "#" hope this gets fixed in the next update/patch.
when trying to make custom crafting for items without using an add-on.

It gets to the point where you have to extract the current realm world, put the command in the single player world, then put the new world version into the realm.

This is preventing my Realm from working properly as well. It only happens on certain coordinates like most people are saying but for me it's happening on a plethora of different commands like tp, give, and others. It's quite frankly a game-breaking bug for a lot of people and yet 3 updates have gone by on xbox with no patch??? It's killing my motivation to play this game and I don't understand why it isn't more of a priority.

Good evening, thanks for solving the problem with / fill and / setblock.
Currently I am left with a problem with / testfor.
if I try to enter this command the error occurs again.
Testfor @p [x=165,y=83,z=68,r=1]
I have some other command blocks that contain the exact same command and they work so it shouldn't be a typing error.

I can confirm, many months down the line from many of these first comments that the bug is still very much present within Realms, as I am currently running a 10 Player Realm that uses Command Blocks to make the in - game NPCs be more useful, and in the middle of Server Development the Bug started taking place, I reset the Realm and then replaced it with a Backup from a couple minutes prior but I have had no success in any attempts to fix this issue, unless this gets fixed before the Realm Subscription ends, there will be no more money filling into Microsoft nor Mojang's Pockets from me.

Hi, the only way you can work is to download the realm offline, create all the commands and then reload the game on the realm.
Once reloaded do not touch the command again otherwise it will delete the command again.
@@unknown
Is it possible to know what is happening and if the fault will be solved?

I’ve only been having this issue on my friends realm. Let’s make it worse he can’t even access his own realm. But when I use fill it sometimes works, but most of the time it won’t. If I have a negative sign in there is definitely will not work. Then numbers in books do the same thing and turn to the pound symbol.

This problem is getting ridiculous. It seems to be getting worse is there any kind of eta or indication Mojang is working on this? I got 3 realms I can’t finish projects for the members on. Maybe to would be better if they reverted back a couple of updates till they can get their shit together.

@Michael Miller I couldn't agree more. Perhaps this is a hard problem to fix and that's why it is taking too long, but this has been an issue coming up on 3 months now and we haven't had the courtesy of even an update??? It seems to me like they don't see this game-breaking issue as a problem at all and they aren't taking our concerns seriously. Let's get something straight, this problem is ruining realms and destroying hard work for those of us who didn't notice the issue was happening until it was too late. I don't understand why this issue Is being kept in the dark but I'm getting fed up with the nonsense that bedrock has been putting us through recently. 👎👎

^ What that guy said.
It seems the best solution for me has been to stop paying for Realms and move to a Minecraft Server.
That can't be in the best interest of Mojang, I hope this issue is resolved.

I was really hoping to make a hub where my friends can teleport to different locations, but this bug is still going and I wish we could get some reassurance from Mojang in some way that they are at least working on this issue. We've basically stopped playing now because most of what we wanted to do just isn't working.

It doesn't happen with functions which is annoying but it is a fix.

I can't get basic commands to work in command blocks because of how bad this bug is. This is really hurting our realm.
It seems to be Mojang censoring the commands, as this is not an issue in single player. Only multiplayer/realms.

The only way I have found to use command blocks in realms is to:
close the realm
Download to local machine
edit the command blocks in single player
upload back to realm

This bug should be fixed in the latest beta version, and the fix will be included in a future update when that is ready for full release (no specific date can be given). We will leave this ticket open as a point of reference until the fix has been fully released.

Looks like this still isn't fixed. I still have hundreds of my command blocks getting corrupted with hash tags 😞 new and existing. I tried the suggestion another player made, to edit them in single and load it back to the realm, but the command blocks aren't activating, even though they are set to always active. I have to go in to them, change to needs redstone, exit, then go back in and change back to always active. The problem is that I have hundreds of command blocks and have no clue which work and which don't. It's a huge, and I mean HUGE, inconvenience to go around to every block to see if they work, and on top of that, if I enter the command block interface, I risk the hash tag bug clearing out the command. I don't have my command block commands memorized or documented anywhere, so that sucks to try and figure out my code again. Any ideas as to when this will be resolved?
