[MCPE-14737] my gui disappears and i cannot exit the world

when i updated my minecraft to 0.15 build 1 i opened my world and the hotbar and controls disappeared and i did not turn off the gui and i cannot exit my world

I'd like to add that this bug also somehow affects a certain chunk and a certain block/xyz coordinate.

Kindly refer to MCPE-18957 for a reference as it's too detailed and too long to repost here.

I've also found out that when I try to place any block, in my case a jack o' lantern/torch and a nether brick in the same chunk and within 24-32 blocks of where i got bugged, the GUI disappears. But after removing the blocks and going to my phone's home screen and getting back to the mcpe app running in the background the GUI reappears.

It doesn't seem to affect other chunks, I think in this instance either my map got corrupted because it saved the data values/script with the bug, or there's a persistent bug that keeps recurring when placing certain blocks within that area.

So for now... so much for infinite world MCPE. XD I can't work on my base and have to work on other chunks elsewhere, hoping it doesn't crash too. LOL

This has happened for me as well. And, I do believe I was trying to re-edit a sign. Although, I was able to finally bring up the menu by pressing the home button and bringing the game back up using the recent apps feature. The interface was still missing, but I was able to save and quit. Once I reloaded the world, my interface came back.

Just had this occur again on 1.1.0.8on the usual Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 SMT280 on Android 5.1.1 connected as a client.

Having defeated the wither, there was tremendous lag as a result of all the dropped block items, and the the gui disappeared.

Found a way to reproduce this issue in 1.2:

Connect as a client to a LAN game using Galaxy Tab a6 SMT280
Use fireworks that have Large Ball with Trail (see issue MCPE-23769 with test world)

The GUI disappears, and the game had to be force restarted.

Happened to me several times on different realms. It is probably caused by huge amounts of blocks that connect to one another - fences and chorus plants. It always happens in a certain area where there is a lot of these blocks. I have been experiencing this bug since 0.15 and it's still here in 1.2.11.

Yes, I can confirm it still happens in the latest version, I reproduced the glitch earlier today on a realm. I also have a theory on what causes it. A few months ago I said I thought it was caused by blocks that connect to each other. Further thinking about it (and experiencing the issue many times again) I am convinced it's caused by blocks with complicated block models. Fences, chorus, fence gates, walls, hoppers and some others. In large quantities they make this issue happen every time you load a certain area. The glitch also strikes randomly once in a long time (for me it was like 4 times during the years it's around) and it can be caused by massive amounts of particles (for example if you put like 2000 torches in the area of view). Device: ASUS ZenPad 8 (Android 5.0.2)

Still happening on kindle fires. Server is on iphone which doesn't have issues but the fires connected "loose their buttons" around areas with decently complex devices including sorters and mine cart collection systems. Chests and other containers have rendering issues or disappear with the buttons. Its 100% reproducible on the world my kids and I play on in three different locations.

I am having this exact same issue as of May 6, 2020. My hud, entities, chests, even the pause menu, gui, all of it becomes invisible when I'm near large bases or farms. It only happens near these areas where there may be a lot of blocks placed. If I leave the chunks after the bug and close it down, when I relog in the game my hud will be back, however, as soon as I hit the chunk with my base or farms, the hud will crash on the spot and not return until I leave the area and reboot all over again. This happens in realms and offline solo worlds too, as it just crashed for me on a realm will I was in the middle of placing hundreds of fence gates for a guardian farm. I've spent days worth of hours placing sand blocks and spomgeing water only for me to be able to co tinge working on this base now, because of this bug! It's extremely frustrating. Even my three year old solo world is unplayable now too. I suspect it is a bug caused in rendering, since nearly every block in the game has edge glitches, like glass and the concretes, the worst culprits, and that this causes the hud to disappear as an attempt to save frames. Whatever it is, please fix this in an update! This issue only started at 1.14.30, so it's something that you guys have patched in.

i’m having the same issue right now. the game has been working fine for a while until now. i’ll enter my world and move a few blocks until my gui disappears and i can’t leave. i deleted the app and reinstalled it but nothing helped

Yea this glitch sucks and i hope they fix it sometime soon cuz i was playing a bedwars server and i turned around to face one of the main islands it did that and i had to close the application to get back in.

I am also experiencing the same problem but with a few other things as well. Not only are my controls not showing but the world is absent too, it all blue (the sky) and I cannot exit or see my profile. I have had to uninstall and reinstall it each time I wanted to play. My character will not load either, can you please help me?
